Here we go everyone - thanks again for all the support.
Best news yet: I've started running again!!!!! I can't even express the excitement, joy and ultimate relief I feel right now. It's only 30s on, 90s off, and it feels very very odd - but it's a definite move in the right direction.
Thanks again for all the good vibes, and I look forward to being part of spark again.

Thank you so much guys (that includes you Lisa and Nancy). I just had my first 'real' workout since the second surgery - 15:12 on the elliptical for 1.25 miles. It was really light resistance, but for most of it I wasn't limping, and I actually felt normal. I'm pretty sore now (and not in that good muscle way), but I at least now I know that I can do it, and there is hope somewhere deep down at the end of the tunnel. Thanks again everyone, and I promise - I will be back (and most likely with a vengeance)!

Sending *positive vibes* along w/Russ! It's got to be hard, but I know you can tough it out, Heather. Feel free to vent whenever you need to - like Chris said, it's just good to hear from you!

Heather,
I know you want it to heal correctly. You've got to give it time. I had a hernia about two years ago. I thought it took forever for me to be able to do any ab work. I couldn't lift at all for about 6 weeks. The point is, you'll heal up and you'll ramp up your activity again. *More positive vibes*

Heather,
My heart goes out to you. Had surgery in early May and I was truly slowly going nuts before the lifting restrictions came off late last month. Just remember, when you do get back into the swing of things, take it slow and gradual at first. I made the mistake of not(two hour Tai Chi class not long after surgery) and really paid for it.

Rant Alert:
I am so sick of being broken! I had five months out of commission from the original surgery in January. This second surgery was successful but I'm still having to wait out the recovery time. Not only am I restless in terms of athletics and 'sparking' but I need to get back to work, back to school, etc etc. UGH! I feel like I'm stuck and spinning my tires in the mud.

That's great news, Heather! Glad to hear it - I was getting a little nervous when we didn't hear from you at first! Like Lisa, I hope you fully recover quickly!

I have crawled back from the edge of death to post this message. lol - no nothing like that actually. Everything went fine but I'm supposed to take it easy this week with mainly physio type exercises (ie. no cardio, no 'trackable' SP type stuff). I'm very tired, and pretty sore, but at least my knee works again! I got all the way around on the bike pedals today - first time in 6 months, so I am estatic about that.
Again, thanks for the good vibes everyone, and I'll post more as I regain contact with the real world, haha.

Hi all - so I've been posting pretty regularly on here for awhile now and I'm glad to say that you have all been a huge help in where I've come. I just wanted to let everyone know what's going on with my surgery on Friday.
I'm going in for arthoscopic surgery to loosen up the problematic scar tissue from an earlier surgery in January. The original surgery was for ligament reconstruction (acl, pcl, mcl) and a fracture. I'm not overly concerned about this procedure, and I'm very excited at the prospect of bending my leg soon and getting back to 'normal'.
Thanks for letting me get this off my chest.
Heather
