This Father's Day is my husband's first. We have a beautiful baby boy who is six months old. He was born right on our 1 year wedding anniversary. I wanted to make his first Father's day special. I wrote him a poem about his love for our son. I then found a personalization site and had the poem engraved onto a glass picture frame. I'm going to edit a photo of him and our son and place it in the frame. I also got him some books about card games just so he has something fun. For Mother's Day he wrote me a poem and gave me a gold locket with "Mom" and a rose on it, along with three sets of earrings.

I am always stuck. He & I have such different tastes. I just send him to the store and let him pick something out for himself.

Hi Mom2Boys!
Thanks, that would be a great idea for my little ones to pick out something for my Dad. Which means he'll be getting Buzz Lightyear and Tinkerbell! lol

I usually let the boys pick out gifts for both their dad and grandfather. My dad has gotten Bob the Builder Duplos on several occasions. It gives him something to have at their house for when the grandkids are over.

Our daughter got him a baby ball and glove so that he can teach her to play catch. She loves watching him play softball. We also got him poker chips because he has been wanting them for so long. My daughter and I had our portrait taken together so that he has a picture of his girls. I hope that gives you some ideas.

I let my son choose something to give to his dad, it usually ends up being something that they can do together. gregory loves looking for something for his dad, just from him and his sisters.

I'm getting my husband and son-in-law a gift certificate to play golf.

They both have been talking about going to play, both have clubs. So I figured it was time to do it. Plus it will give them bonding and man time together.

A day out with the boys.

Annette

P.S.
Neither one of them is good at it. But that is not the point.

Hi!
Just wondering what everyone is getting/doing for Father's Day?
Both my Dad and husband have the same answer when I ask what they would like. "I don't need anything." It's so frustrating! LOL
Any ideas?
