heck it took me awhile to learn how to eat healthy that is one reason I was so slow in losing weight. I had to take baby step. okay but hey I eventually learned and thats all that matters

Try going back to the beginning and making a list of why you want to lose weight. You can even make a list of thinks thats blocking you and try to eliminate them one at a time.

Don't give up. This program is easier to follow than others I've seen.

Stay in your calorie range for one week then set a mini reward for yourself. When you can stay within you calorie range for an entire month go for a big reward. A new exercise tape, a pair of shoes, an evening out,1 hour "ME" timer.

Set small goals and build up. Large goals can be to big to manage 5# this month is easier that 30# in 6 months.

Hi Laura - what about working with one small goal like tracking breakfast, or drinking your water? You're still with us, so you can't be flunking - try planning today or tomorrow out, and feel good about anything you can check off (like water, 4 veggies, enough calcium, etc.) - you've made progress just because you're committed and trying. Good luck, today - LindaK

I can relate a bit there, mainly with the exercise side for me though. I bought a lateral thigh trainer a few months back & was using it religiously up until last week. This week i have been terrible! As soon as i remember i need to use it, is just as im eating. Cant exercise on a full stomach, then later i havent got a spare 20 minutes so it gets put off til the next day.
We've got to snap out of it ey, and go back to the begining again.

Sounds dumb, but can you flunk healthy eating?

I just got started a couple of weeks ago, was doing great, & then suddenly lost motivation. I did this once before, lost 50 lbs. and felt great, but forgot how much work goes into it. It's like I want it, but am not willing to work for it.

The worst part is I just beat myself up when I fail. I know that does no good, but it is difficult to get out of that pattern. I tell myself things like, suck it up, there's no excuses, stop being a whiner, etc. Maybe this sounds familiar?

These are just random thoughts I suppose, but I have to say them out loud so they won't roll around in my head and defeat me. Anyone who remembers what it was like starting this thing and what helped them, I am open to suggestions. Or maybe you can just relate.
