What a great testament to the power of love - and what a family is! My sister just got married, and both her her fathers (biological and my dad, both who have raised her), walked her down the aisle, and for the first time in her life, all of her brothers and sisters were in the same room togeter. My daughter's father is not in the picture, but she still has a family - even if it doesn't look the GOP thinks it should . I like Elmo's take on family - it's who loves you!

TIAMRE,
I just wanted to say I love that expression - the "fun" in dysfunctional"!! My husband and I have been together almost eight years and he is still trying to get my family straight, what with all 'half's and 'step's...

| My husband and I have 6 kids between the 2 of us.....5 girls and 1 boy. One is a niece, one is ours, one is mine, two are his, and one is hard to explain(he's not the father, but the daddy to his ex-wife's youngest daughter) 4 live with us full time, 1 part time and 1 not at all. I laugh and tell people my family puts the "fun" in dysfunctional, and that we are blended like a margarita. Despite all of our differences we are actually a close knit family. These kids keeping my husband and I guessing on what each day will bring, for there are never 2 days that are the same.
