| I now use it as a guide. I am a pretty healthy eater. I make most of my meals from scratch and use alot of fresh fruits and veggies. My downfall is mid afternoon sweets and late night drinks and eating with the boyfriend. I'm limiting that so we'll see what happens!
| My problem is that I don't care much for rice and that's almost always in the menu. As long as I can keep my calorie-count, fats, carbs and proteins in the right range, I'll probably keep eating the same way...

| i do the same thing.. use it as my guide line for the day. i wake up and look at it.. and then it's in my head all day! when i don't follow it, i just make sure i don't over eat and eat smaller portions of things... it helps.. filling but not hella calories.. another thing i've notice a lot.. sushi is filling. if i eat 2 pieces of sake salmon sushi, a bowl of rice, and a soup.. i'm good! its cheaper and filling.. plus its all good for you!

| Right now, I'm just eating what I normally would eat, but have begun leaning toward eating more fresh fruits and vegetables and other items that are lower in fat. I will eventually start looking at the menus, but I first need to use the foods I have on hand. I've found, though, that I'm not doing too bad with the foods I'm currently eating, calorie-wise. I haven't really started tracking the other nutrients to begin eating healthier. That will come later.

| I agree with you, Ksalber. I use it as a guide, substituting when necessary. It is a reality check!!
| I've been following most of the time. I substitute for things I do have on hand, but mostly try to do what the menu asks so I can better learn how to eat and what portion sizes to have.
| I am still not following the plan, but keep up with my calories and fat grams by using it as a guide

Good luck to you . I do the same thing. I plan my food ahead and put in my own nutritional values. That way I can go to my favorites. I don't want to have to buy a whole bunch of stuff that I don't normally eat, just to follow the plans.

kinda hard for me to follow maybe coz i dont put so much emphasis on it and i feel as if i cant get some of the suff onit bt at times i do.

| i don't eat exactly to the meal plans, but i keep them in mind all day so i follow close to that.. if it says breakfast, yogurt, raisins, or watever, i usually have raisin bran cereal and yogurt. if for lunch it says some sort of salad, i just try to have a salad, and the dinner is sorta easy, because i just try to have either: a steak, fish, pork or you can havea pbj lol.. my fav..

| I just started on SP lst night so I'm still learning everything but I already know I won't follow the meal plans they provide. I'm going to use it as a meal planner, entering meals ahead of time so I can plan ahead, but I'll enter my own meals. As long as I'm staying with in the calorie, fat, etc guidelines than it should be teh same thing.

| i am the type of person that just cant eat what you tell me i "have" to eat....even if i like it, so no, im not following the meal plan but do use the tracker and love it.

Good morning everyone! I use the tracker, but enter my own foods, mostly. Along with the nutritional values tracked automatically: fat, protein, carbs etc.,I also track sodium and fibre. My blood pressure needs some tweaking! I like the points system for small goals, it's sooooo forgiving. Even if you go over slightly, it gives you points.

| I try to stay in the guidelines, but like yesterday, we went out for our anniversary and I even ate ice cream, but what I did is all day, limited my diet, because I knew what I was going to do, doing that, I still stayed inside my calorie guideline.

| i think i would like to try it...but like alot of you are saying..i may substitute for things that better suit my taste

I'd just tuck the raisins in the fridge but if they offer it frequently enough it wouldn't be anything to consume them. 1.5 boxes in 2 days would be 3 boxes so no left overs. Of course I put my flour and sugar in the freezer because I dont trust pests....
| I don't know you but just try print the menu a week before so that you can have the rigth food.
| I can't follow the meal plans, it's too restrictive and I have a family to feed. I also find that I'm really fussy with some of my food so it's easier for me to track it than to follow their methods.
| I don't follow the plans because I have three kids to cook for and preparing two separate meals would be crazy. I simply cut back on the portions of I cook for the kids and then I eat a Lean Cuisine meal or something.

| Does anyone else find it odd that it keeps suggesting 1.5 mini boxes of raisins as part of a meal? Has anyone actually done this? What would you do with the other half a box? Sounds like an invitation to ants or fruit flies to me.

| No, i'm not following the plans mainly because we have 4 kids and 2 SP'ers. We need to work into this - it can't be an overnight, change everything idea...so we try and eat right, but no meal plans.
| I started to try to modify them, but now I mostly use the add food button. I found out that you can save meals that way, and since I eat about 3-4 different breakfasts I save each one and that makes it easy. I like using it that way, it's the first time I've come close to tracking my eating and calories.

I feel better b/c I'm not using the meal plans either. I don't do well when I feel forced to do something, so that it's a choice is great. I do like the tracking aspect so I can finally see what I'm eating.
