You've already collected some great advice... but I wanted to add that I really think this is precisely where we do some of our most profound personal growth. Sure, it would be great to be perfect and never screw a day up, but how realistic is that?? I think it's a lot more important to learn that an unrealistic fear of imperfection is never, ever an acceptable reason to quit anything in life, period. I had a gruesome weekend, caloriewise, but here I am on Tuesday morning... and here are you... and here are all those other kind souls who've posted... I'll take this imperfect, improvisational & dynamic process over sterile, unrealistic dreams of perfection any day! Best of luck to you! L.

I take all negative energy and turn it into a positive, I make new day resolutions. I never look back I just focus on trying to be my best. It is like learning to ride a bike I fall down but I get up. keep getting up until yor reach your goals and make your dreams come true, I wish you the best.

Thank you so much for your encouragement. :-) I had a much better day today, and I didn't beat myself up over yesterday's mess-up (a binge) by starving myself and thus perpetuating the cycle. Woohoo!

That's why we're here, right? To keep each other afloat.

That's the one thing we always have to keep in mind. We have to do this ONE DAY AT A TIME. You've had good days, refer back to how good you felt about those. You slipped on your diet, no biggie. You aren't an alcoholic that slipped up, got drunk, and killed people in a car. Your slip up can be forgotten much easier than that.

Start fresh, get a great week behind you, then you can look back at that day and say, "It wasn't so bad, I'm moving forward again."

Don't feel guilty, its negative. Just start fresh and tell yourself what you are going to do with today. Today is really all we have, we are not promised a tomorrow. Its important not to focus on the past or dwell on things to come. Make the most of what you have now.

I know how you feel. I also love my guilt. I have to remind myself of these things all the time. You can do it!

If you don't eat properly, record your points, or exercise one day, what strategy do you use to get over the guilt and get yourself back on track?
