ground flax seed in a 3:1 ratio flax : oil. applesauce, or pureed prunes work great too.

the diet I follow is NO oil, no added oil for sure!

Dh makes the BEST pancakes!! Whole wheat, no oil in them. Just try without! I can look up the recipe if you like.
He also makes Waffles..you make the batter in a blender..starting with dry oatmeal, also NO OIL!

You can always try applesauce in place of the oil.

I use canola oil in my pancakes...it is a healthy oil alternative. I stock canola & olive oil in my pantry. as they are both good oils, and actually will substitute canola oil over melted butter in a lot of recipes.

i'm excited to make pancakes (with whole wheat flour!) tomorrow morning for breakfast, but the recipe wants a tablespoon of oil. can i use something else, like my 0 calorie soy butter, or just not use the oil? how will the pancakes turn out if i just cut the oil out?

i also want to use egg whites instead of eggs. the eggs made my cholestorol level shoot way up.
