| Grocery Stores here have it (Pennsylvania). Health food stores (Whole Foods?) Also try Asian markets. Great tea. No caffeine. Really good for you. If you can't find it near you, Google it.

| I have tried Roobio (is that how ou spell it??) tea lately and really like it! Do you know where I can find it, other than health food stores?

Just finished my daily cup of green tea! Keeps me full!
FYI - I have read recently that putting milk in Gree Tea cancels out antioxidant benefits, there is something in the milk bacteria that does this...So if I do put anything in it, I just stick to honey..

Katie: Be careful counting tea or coffee as water. They are diuretics and decrease the amount of water you retain.

I love green tea too, and have become a recent fan of rooibos tea as well (aka red tea). Rooibos has even more antioxidant power than green tea, but without the caffeine. It's also without tannins, so doesn't get bitter from overbrewing. The amount of calories in tea is so low that I don't really bother counting them. As for nutrition information, it is really hard to find that on teas. I just wrote the Numi tea company to find out what kind of nutrition is in their rooibos, because I couldn't find anything anywhere.
I think buying loose leaf green is the best way to go, if you want a higher quality. You can get a good idea about where to start at adagio.com.
(Also, hi to my friend Sunny52!)

| Another newbie here....I don't like hot tea at all, but I love the Arizona Diet Green Tea. I was so exicted the first time I found it at the grocery store, since I didn't like the way the kind I brewed at home tasted. I go through a gallon size jug every 3-4 days! Even my 3 year old son loves it. Great stuff!

After reading all of this I just had to go make myself a cup of green tea! I like the Lipton green tea blends. Right now I'm having Orange, Passionfruit & Jasmine.

| OK, so I'm new to SP. I was just looking at all the message boards and was excited to see that there's a forum dedicated to green tea. I LOVE GREEN TEA! I've been drinking it for as long as I can remember. My favorite is jasmine green tea...hot and iced. I usually get the kind you find at the Asian markets. I drink a cup of it every morning about an hour before I workout...it helps boost my energy and a cup of it when I get home in the evening. I got my dad into it, to ween him off coffee. He seems to like it.

| If it's hot, then it's not going to consume that many cals. I don't really know about iced (maybe it's the same), but a bag of tea only has a couple cals in it and I usually make a big mug of it that holds 16 oz. It doesn't seem to affect the taste and I get 2 of my 8 glasses of water out of the way:)
| I've herd that you can drink as much as you want to as long as it fits into the amount of calories you want to eat in a day. The more the better.

| Sarah I was just going to ask about green tea when I found your message, You answered one of my questions. The other one was; how much should we drink a day, or isnt there any limit?

| Another great tasting grean tea is called Tazo tea. It's a little more expensive but worth it. They have one that is decaffeinated called "Lotus", and it's wonderful. Also there is one called "Zen" which has the caffein but is a little stronger. For more information you can look on the Tazo Tea website at www.tazo.com. You can find them in Starbucks or certain grocery stores.

I love Stash Chai Green tea. I looked at their website yesterday and found a FAQ page that answers lots of great questions, including nutritional information and health benefits.
The link is http://www.stashtea.com/teafaq.htm
Hope this helps! Katie

Hi green tea lovers. I'm just browsing for fun sites to visit. I love green tea and try to drink a cup a day, usually while I am sitting watching TV before bed. It is great..I drink all kinds of green tea and the cost less compared to alot of other habits. So enjoy the benefits.

| I really like it! Try it out!

| Is the flavored green tea really green tea? I mean, when I'm out getting sushi, I usually get the green tea they make there. I've been drinking the Lipton on the go Cherry blossom flavored mix that you add to water. Does it still have the same effects and "powers" that the actual tea leaves give off?

| I just started drinkin green tea a couple of days ago as ice tea instead of the regular iced tea. I like it better than regular ice tea! It is making it easier to not drink soda!
| The cost is virtually the same as the regular kind. Most of the major brands now make green tea, such as Lipton, Salada, Celestial Seasonings, and store brands.
Celestial Seasonings make some delicious green tea blends. My favorite flavors are Raspberry Gardens, or Blueberry Breeze green teas. They are great hot, but even better as an iced tea!
A box of 20 tea bags is usually under $3.

| Kitty, I get mine in the same aisle in the grocery store as all the other teas. The label will say Green Tea.

| Green tea is amazing! Most all teas are great! Great antioxidant! I drink a cup of tea with 1/2 small spoon of sugar to heal my sweet tooth. :)

| Thank you! I am living in Korea for a year and I can't read the labels so it makes it hard. I drink it with no milk or surgar so that sounds about right 5 Kcal. I wonder why regular coffe ie black is only 2 Kcal?? Strange!

When I make iced tea, I mix 2/3 decaf luzianne tea and 1/3 green tea (usually peppermint or raspberry or any other kind of berry, brand lipton).
People especially love the peppermint green tea with the normal decaf tea.

| I use the Lipton green tea with orange, passionfruit and lemon and it has zero calories. The benefits are great..to help jump start your metabolism.

| Green tea is great for you. The secret of it lies in the fact that it is rich in EGCG which is a powerful anti-oxidant. It kills cancer cells without harming healthy tissue, it lowers cholesterol levels, it can help prevent tooth decay, and it can stop blood clots which is a leading cause of heart attacks and stroke. The reason that it's good for dieters is it's low in saturated fat and can promote more calories to be burned throughout the day. I am not exactly sure how many calories it is, the kind I use says it is 5 calories a serving without anything added like cream or sugar.
