If you go to Resource Center and type in bmr - articles will come up. One of them is Why Calories are King. I know there is a link to a BMR calculator in there.

You know I don't know if there is a site in Spark that tells you, but from what I've learned about nutrition (from books etc) it follows general guidelines. On average if you are moderately active your body uses 13 calories for every pound -- take your body weight and x's by 13/anything under that amount and you should lose. X's by 15 if you are very active, very fit, and by 10 if pretty sedentary. You can track for yourself, and see where you fall. I'm overweight (obviously I'm here) and excercise every day 30-60 minutes, I fall in about 13.

Im new here and am really looking forward to the support this group can bring. I hope that I can contribute also.

I hope you dont mind me starting with a question:

How do I find out the number of calories my body
naturally burns? I think its called BMR.

Blessings,
Jennifer
