My personal word(s) of wisdom would be to lose the word "diet". Diets make people gain weight. Try "making a lifestyle change". Whatever it is you do to lose weight, you must be able to do the rest of your life. Also, never beat yourself up when you falter. Just get back on track and you will suceed!!!!!!!! You can do it!
