I, too, never thought much of the points until I saw my ranking compared to those in my city and my state. Luckily, I live in Nebraska, so climbing up into a higher ranking won't be too hard!

SparkPoints really never mattered to me until I joined a group and saw my ranking as compared to everyone else. Then, my competitive nature flared up and I was determined to finish in the Top 10 of every group if I could help it.
If you're like me, join a group!

Weclome to SP!!! I too put on weight after getting married. 5 years into the marriage and I had put on 50-65 lbs. You found a great place to help keep motivated. Let us know what we can do to help.

Welome!
This is a great place to start. One of the key lessons from SP is that little changes add up over time. Adding in a little exercise really helps and you can do this in short intervals. You don't need to spend an hour in the gym everyday to make progress. It's great you can but you can also work in 10-15 minutes at a time during the course of the day. If you have a hard time adding exercise, this is a great way to start and it helps get you in the habit.

I sure put on some pounds after I got married and I am determined to lose it.
My challenge is that I don't do enough exercise, and I know I should be doing it...
