I would check with your OB to see if you really are pregnant. My girlfriend said she spotted for the first 3 months with her first, and the first 4 months with her second. Sometimes the stick test doesn't always work. Blood test would be better. Another freind found out that her eggs wouldn't drop so they had to do In Vetro Fert. and now she has twins. It will happen when you are NOT TRYING. Just work on watching calories and burning calories and watch your weight go down. And when you least expect it, it might happen. It's worse when that is all you think about. Beckie

| Have you been to an infertility specialist? The Ob-gyn does not do the types of test a specialist can do. After going to the specialist I was told I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome which affects ovulation and menstrual cycles. Weight is often part of pcos too. Some women have been able to control pcos by their weight. They also checked my fallopian tubes to make sure there was not any blockage that could prevent pregnancy. Based on the definition of infertility and for how long you have been trying I would def. go to a specialist.

| Would your husband be willing to have a sperm analysis done? You maybe fine but he may be the one that something is going on with. My husband and I went through infertility treatments for over 2 years and ended up turning to adoption to create our family, but it turned out that the problems we had conceiving came from both of us. It would be an option to find out.

B,
Have you talked to your doctor about what the problem might be? I know that excess weight can be a contributing factor in fertility, so that could be part of the issue. I think it's great that you have come to SparkPeople for help with weight loss!
You might also want to check out our sister site, www.babyfit.com which is also free and helps moms have a healthy pregnancy- it also has resources for preconception.
