| Hi Fireburn, if you are having problems with what to eat and healthy selections you might do better by following the meal plan and just substitute something if you really don't like it. You'll start to learn what the "healthy" things are that way.

I've done well for two days! Didn't stick to my not eating after 8 goal today, but still did okay on calories. Gotta go do my strength training and go to bed.

| Yup - climbing back on the wagon after a 4 day work trip that was VERY off the wagon!!!! The best thing about the trip though, was that I recognized how God-awful I feel when I eat crap, don't drink enough water, over do the caffiene etc... I much prefer how I feel when I'm on the plan!!! Now to figure out how to stay on the plan for the next trip, which is in 2 weeks...

Fell off the wagon today, worst I have done since being here at SP for over 3 months. I am trying not to beat myself up too much, but I feel so full and icky, I want to remember how I feel so it will help me to not do it again. I have had a bad habit in the past of wanting to eat something extra on my weigh in days. Don't know where it came from, but it is a terrible habit. I feel myself slipping back into it. Today, I told myself I wasn't going to do it, but I did. Went way over in my calories, just wanted to eat everything I saw. I know I can't do this for my heart's sake and for the sake of all the hard work I have done to lose the 25 -30 pounds that I have lost so far. I know everyone has bad days, I just don't know why I am falling into this pattern again. I have so much support here and from my hubby and I want so badly to eat right and lose and be healthy. There is some trigger in my head that tells me to do this and I have to over come it!
Tomorrow is another day, Fiddle-dee-dee. It will be better! Missy

| One of the things I did was bought myself a smaller plate. Instead of using an 11 inch plate I use an 8 inch. Slowing down also helps in this matter as well as making sure you drink your water. Like others here have suggested Start Small...check out the recommended meal plans and see if those will work for you.

| I also suggest slowing down when you eat. I recently started doing that, probably b/c alot of the food I am consuming is smaller portions so I want it to last ;) But either way I try my hardest (all varies depending on how much food I have), to spread my meal out over a 20 minute time period b/c I have heard that is how long it takes for your body to know that it is full. Try it, you will be surprised how much you are eating when your body is actually full. Since I joined spark about 2 1/2 weeks ago, I can honestly say besides two meals (one splurge to McDonalds and one family dinner at the in-laws) I haven't had that full, gut rot feeling you get when you've ate too much, but I'm not starving either! Recommit and as Jychestnutt says, Start small! Create habbits! Best of luck to you!

Try mixing up your exercise programs. Get out and walk first thing in the morning, before you get side tracked. I do that when I am not working. If you have a close friend that is trying to lose, ask them if they want to exercise with you. If you have some one depending on you it will make you stick with it.
As far as food, start small, you do not have to really restrict your diet as far as certain foods. Of course try to cut down on the junk and increase the good. Start with portions, one of the iggest mistakes people make is huge portions. Measure for a while til you get used to what you are doing, also use a smaller plate. It makes your meal look bigger.

I started back exercising doing the whole 45 min WATP thing but I get so discouraged and bored. Plus I don't know what I should be eating or restricting myself to. I can do the water thing w/ no problem and I don't drink soda or fruit juice. I need HELP. How do I add up and count my calorie intake it's 1580-1800. Any suggestions.
