| I get new shoes every 500 miles or so and I buy new socks regularly. I find keeping good socks and shoes really helps me enjoy my time exercising. If I enjoy it I keep doing it. I've had to make myself do this though and it hasn't been so easy for me.

Makes sense.
For what it's worth, it's a good idea to wear your running shoes only when you are working out; if you walk around in them they'll break down much faster and won't support your feet as well.

| Anyone notice the more fat you are the quicker you go through shoes? I got a pair of New Balance 691s at christmas and now their just about trashed.
