I agree, HESSRL, when you actually SEE what's happening, you pay a lot more attention to it. That has been my mistake trying to lose weight, I don't keep track well enough and then I don't really *see* any differences and get discouraged and figure "why bother?" I have been counting calories faithfully for the last week and weighing myself at the same time, and I lost 5lbs. :) And that 5 is going to encourage me for another 5. Any other time before Spark, I would have maybe lost the 5 but not known it and not really seen it.

A friend of mine had started with ediets.com and she had me log in to look at the calorie counter. (this was before my "lifestyle change") and I freaked out! I couldn't believe the amount of calories I was eating! She then told me about this site and I told her to not even bother sending it to me, b/c I didn't want to know how horrible I was. But she did anyway, and here I am, logged on at home in the morning to track exercises and breakfast, logged on at work, and then again at home! What a difference it makes in your life just to SEE what you are consuming! Wow!
