I wanted to drop 15 for this years biking season in New England. My goal was to loose 15 lbs and up my average speed by 2 mph. Getting close on both but not quite there... pedal pedal pedal

Mine was much more nebulous... it was time, I want to be more active with the kids, I'm tired of sitting on my butt, etc. I would like to do a 5k, but it'd have to be a walk as running just kills my knees/ankles. Sadly I think that's going to take away my basketball over the next few years unless I can get them healthier.

I've already lost 22pounds... just got about another 20 to go!

There are a number of 5Ks in the Minneapolis area throughout the summer and fall--I need to pick one of those out and make it my target. Being able to run one start to finish would be an incredible step up from where I was 2+ months ago...

I'm heading to AZ in a couple weeks and I want to fit in an airline seat a little nicer.

I went to the movies the other night and was suprised to be comfortable while watching. Ah the little things of losing weight.

Haha yeah I have to say i'm guilty of the vainess as well... even with my target event. Want to be comfortable and not embarassed about working in the heat without a shirt on, wanting to drop the minikeg and switch it for a 6-pack. I'm also imagining August in new orleans is a little warmer than in Ontario so less clothing out in the sun is likely

The next Myrtle Beach marathon next February. I ran it this year (my first one!) at a svelte 210 lbs! I never hurt sooooo bad in all my life! I ran a half a couple of years ago at 190 lbs. and it was fairly easy. So, I want to be down to 180 or 170 for less pain and a better time.
I also felt and looked better when I was at 190. The vainess in me arises!

For me it's not just one event, it's any TKD tournament I may want to fight in. I don't want to fight heavyweight.

Just wondering if anybody else here is aiming to be back in shape for a specific event. I know for myself I'd really like to drop some of my excess fat and be in better physical shape for a mission trip I have coming up in August. Going with my fiance, parents and others from my Church back home to rebuild 3 houses in Louisiana that were destroyed from last years hurricane. Anybody else?
