I am a newbie and I usually drink a slimfast in the morning with a bowl of cereal.... I have found that at sams the french vanilla are like $10 cheaper then the rest and I actually like drinking them to the point that I can't wait to crack one open. Usually does the trick until my afternoon snack which is usually pretzels or a small bag of popcorn.

I agree on the yougurt bite stuff. Life cereal came out with this also and the kids like it better than captain crunch! So you know it has to be good!!

Our Sunday school class rotates bringing breakfast in each week. This week was my turn. I had cantaloupe, strawberries, grapes, yogurt, bagels, and lite cream cheese (I had half a bagel w/ no cream cheese). Of course, I had my usual 4 cups of joe.

I'm very pleased with the All Bran yogurt Bites...they've taken something like woodchips and made it tasty. When they are on sale, my wife buys them by the case.

It looks like the yogurt bite idea is catching on. There are more and more cereals coming out with this.

Had a half of a bagel to fuel my 7 mile run.

When I get back I'll be having WW pancakes with maple syrup, Smart Balance buttery spread, Morningstar Farms sausage links and some joe. Sounds bad I know but Saturday morning is my breakfast splurge morning!

Chris, I bought a box of All Bran yogurt Bites after the Nutrition Action Health Letter gave it two stars for being a "Super-High-Fiber Best Bite". It's not too bad, actually, it's pretty good! What do you think?

Thanks. Sometimes I throw a pinch of nutmeg and cinnamon in to give it a banana nut bread kinda taste. God, I love banana nut bread. Another twist is to add maple flavoring and some Splenda brown sugar blend.

Boy that really sounds good. I will have to try that. I love oatmeal and the extra's you put in make it sound really good.

Thanks

My usual serving and a half of oatmeal made with 1 1/2 cups of 1% milk. Mixed in some Splenda, a little vanilla, Smart Balance buttery spread, toasted walnuts and a sliced up banana. 3 cups of joe, good to go!

I have found an Omelete with 3 egg whites and one whole egg, diced turkey and some pepers is a great breakfast. We have a cafe at my office that makes this kind of stuff which is very handy.

Also, I sometimes have a protein shake to get my day started with more protein than sugars, even if the sugars come from fruit.

I try to mix it up once in a while.
1.) Breakfast burrito with two eggs, low-fat cheese and a WW tortilla.
2.) Multi-grain cheerios w/non-fat milk
3.) Quaker weight control oatmeal and a banana
4.) On weekends we make WW pancakes which are amazing. (but I usually skip the syrup). They keep you full for a long time too.

I've been eating Schwan's Triple Berry Blend - raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries - with low fat yogurt and flax seed plus a small cranberry juice. Amazingly good breakfast for me.

I find oatmeal in the morning seems to keep me from getting hungry till my 10 am snack. Otherwise a cereal high in fibre and low in suger. Keeps me filled up for a while

On the weekends I do treat myself to a couple eggs, pre-cooked bacon and WW toast. Otherwise some WW pancakes for a treat

Mine varies also. I usually eat oatmeal with a small can of lite peaches. On the days that I run I add a serving of cottage cheese for the protein.
Other days:
1. Scrambled eggs, FF sharp chedder, salsa on WW tortilla.
2. Bagel w/ Heart Smart spread.
3. Cottage cheese and LF yogurt, WW toast.
4. PB and banana on WW bread.
5. On Saturdays, I treat myself to WW waffles or pancakes w/ maple syrup, Heart Smart spread and Morningstar Farms sausage links or patties! Hmmmm, hmmmmmm. I deserve it

hmmm....

1) Cereal with non-fat milk (Total, Kix, Cheerios, Puffed Wheat, Puffed Rice...)

2) English muffin and egg

3) Breakfast burrito with Egg-Beaters

4) Oatmeal

I vary all the time, I like change. My wife eats cereal 90% of the time.

Ok, another recipe question... what have you guys found are good, quick breakfast items and why?

I usually end up with whole grain cheerios with a banana cut up into it and a cup of whole milk. Either that or nature valley bars.
