I make smoothies in the morning too. I use low fat milk, low fat yogurt, whey powder, and whatever frozen fruit I have a hankering for that day. This morning, I am going to add a little bit of a sugar free hot chocolate packet and some frozen raspberries.
Also, you can sip on the smoothie while you are doing other things, so you don't have to drink it all down. Sip on it while you are cleaning the house and it may rev up your engine some.

I'm another one that never liked breakfast. I worked around that by eating foods that are not "breakfast-y." I looked forward to breakfast when knew I was having something more appetizing than a bowl of cereal. *yawn*
I wake up hungry now and I've incorporated some more breakfast foods. Its a hard habit to get into, but it helps keep you going and curbs the hunger when you start the day with a good hearty breakfast.

| I didn't used to like breakfast, and seldom had time for it. I just put faith in this program and starting getting up a little earlier so I had time to have just a little something. I do so much better the rest of the day if I start out with breakfast.

| Maybe you could start small and just drink something in the morning. Maybe a glass of milk or juice? After a week or two or that, add a piece of toast or 1/2 a whole wheat English muffin and gradually work your way up to a full breakfast.

| I hear you on that. I usually dont even get hungry until around 11-1130 and then its like what do I eat. I made myself eat breakfast yesterday and today I am eating right now at 914am its the earliest I have ever eaten foods. I hate breakfast foods as well so I am having a banana (which I dont normally like that well) and suprising to say chips (yes I know its strange) but I need to eat something. I am on my second cup of coffee. A friend of mine told me that when she stopped drinking coffee she felt hungry in the mornings and could eat breakfast. I find that if I dont eat breakfast I just drink coffee. Thats not so good. I am dwindling down the coffee I drink and find that today I feel hungry. I agree about the smoothie thing. They have these dannon frusion smoothies that are really really good. They fill me up and take care of breakfast. I dont get them often though because if I stock up on them I will just drink them all day long. Like the others said just try non traditional breakfast foods. This is a challenge for yourself. Make it a game or a competition. Just try to make it something fun so that you will do it every morning. I hope this helps and good luck I know you and I are not the only ones out there that dont eat breakfast well.

I feel your pain. After a few days of eating a very light breakfast, your body will get used to it and process it better. Just start with something very little and work your way up day by day....I had the same problem and that is how I was able to get into the breakfast eating mode.

| Thanks for the info, but the reason i dont eat breakfast is not because of what you are saying that you think im doing. Im not doing it on purpose to loose weight or save calories or starve myself, my problem is that if i do force myself to eat even if it is fruit or something healthy I end up getting a big migraine all day long that makes me so sick at the end of the day that i end up getting nauses. So if i force myself to eat when im not hungry i feel sick afterwards. The reason I gained weight to begin with was after the birth of my 3 children, i always ended up loosing half of what i gained and keeping the other half and all 3 kids are 5 years apart.

Hi, you have already identified one of your "diet mistakes" and that is skipping breakfast, thinking it will help you lose weight. WRONG.
I used to think the same thing, skip breakfast, less calories & fat, should be good for me Right? Then I figured, if I can skip breakfast, I can skip lunch too. So I did, by the time dinner rolled around I was starving, shaking from hunger, legs weak, so I would eat till I was so stuffed, I could not move, Yeah 1 meal aday, that's the ticket! WRONG, my body got used to being starved so it saved everything from that 1 meal and I actually gained weight by eating less. Huh? What? How can that be?
When your body does not get regular fuel (5-6 small meals through the day) it saves & stores everything it gets & voila, you get fat. Your body gets used to 1 meal and saves it all cause it doesn't know when or if it will get any more.
Force your self to eat breakfast, start re-training your body by drinking 1 or 2 glasses of water first thing after you get up. Do it before the coffee or tea, before you start cooking, make it a priority. Do this for a few days & soon your body will start to demand more than water, "Argh, water ain't doing it, give me food".
Take time to sit with your family for breakfast, share the moments instead of cleaning up, dishes will wait. Give it a try & it worked for me, I spent many years not eating breakfast, now it is my favorite meal.

You are not alone either. I have learned to eat breakfast by not eating traditional breakfast foods. I don't like breakfast foods either. Fruits are a good idea as they are low in fat and good all day long. Smoothies are another great way to avoid traditional breakfast foods. Mornings are always tough for me. I think my mind has to process the day before it can process the food. Keeping busy is a good idea but not eating isn't.

| Hello everyone this is my second day on my diet. I know that one of my biggest problems that I have or have had since I was a little girl was that I never liked eating breakfast. Im just not hungry in the morning when I get up. I can cook for my husband and kids and wont touch any of the food, durring breakfast time. Im not much for breakfast products either. I have to really want them in oder to eat them and that is once in a blue moon. Instead while the kids and my husband eat I am usually busy cleaning the house form top to bottom. Which I heard was good excercise.
