| I use the food tracker and manually enter my foods in. While putting breakfast in if I know what I am having for dinner I will add that and lunch so I can balance it up better. If not I find I still need to eat 300 calories after dinner

I use the food tracker. Usually I eat similar foods every day for breakfast so I have manually entered the nutritiional data. We eat lots of salads and add ingredients to boost it up a bit ... cucumbers, nuts, seeds, sometimes tuna, salmon, so forth. You get the idea. I think I am starting to get the hang of this.
This past week I stayed within my calorie zone but find I need to watch calcium intake.

me I have to have a meal plan so that I know exactly what I am eating that day since I count calories it keeps me from over indulging or undereating and I get the right amount of fats carb and protein.

| I shop the grocery stores according to what is on sale to save money, so that makes it hard to use their food plan. But I do check out their plans for ideas and then just pick my own items. I also have a husband at home who is currently NOT watching his weight and I try to buy for both (although I am going to try and get him moving too!).

| Thanks... I will definetly take all of this into consideration!!!

|
| I eat healthy and then use the food listing to figure out what else I can eat that day and what I need to adjust (more protein/fruits/veggies, and less carbs).

| I just started and I plan out ahead what I eat instead of using the planned menus.. I make my own menus that suit my taste (and budget!) and make a shopping list accordingly. I find that with a list of what I'm planning on eating, I can make sure that I'm getting all the nutrients I need but I don't have to run all over the store to get all of the ingredients (like I would if I were doing the planned meals where you eat something different every day).

| I use the meal plans usually to just get a feel for how many calories per meal. Sometimes I get ideas from it. But I have never actually followed the meal plan b/c I am kinda a picky eater. I like to just figure out for myself what to eat, and it ends up feeling like I am not "on a diet". Just do what feels right for you. A warning: since you don't prepare foods for yourself, I assume you eat out or have prepackaged convenience foods. Those are VERY high in sodium, which will pack on water weight. Even if they are low-cal or low-fat, they usually rely on sodium (salt) to taste better. Just track it with your diet goals, and try to stay under 2500 mg. Good luck (sorry I wrote a book!)

| I just started and I have opted NOT to use the meal plan mainly because I am single and I DO NOT prepare meals for myself! SOOO SAD!! :( I use the food tracker and found that that works well for me. What is the general consensus???
