Things have gotten much better than when my daughter was in the hospital. I got sick soon after and had to take a few days off of work but did manage to get a lot of cleaning done during my time off. I took the time off because I had tonsilitis and was told that it was severely contagious unlike other bacterial infections. I'm better now but not completely better yet. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers and will pray for you as well.

KMOWATT,
OMgoodness, I am terribly sorry your little one ended up in the hosptial. I hope she is feeling better. I will keep her in my prayers as well as your whole family.

My little ones have been sick also and it takes a toll on the entire family. Exercise goes on the back burner and sometimes so does the eating. I managed to get to the gym at night while hubby watches the kiddos so hopefully will get back on track and I will be able to take kiddos back to gym soon.

I hope that all goes better for each one of you and your kiddos start to feel better. I will keep each one of your familys in my prayer. Maybe will all have better weeks.

KMOWATT - Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry that your little girl was in the hospital! And that everyone else (including you) was sick!
I hope you have a much healthier spring!

Doesn't it always happen that way? My kids are still very small and not in school but things happen with them too. My husband is the stay-at-home parent in our family and I work full-time but my kids both got sick and so did my husband. My daughter got so sick that she had to stay in the hospital on a ventilator and oxygen for 3 days. My husband got bronchitis was not allowed to even be near her throughout this whole ideal. My son had a cold so my mom came to pick him up for the weekend (thank God for grandparents). I was stuck in the hospital, off work, for 3 days with my daughter as she was getting better. My husband eventually got a little better and offered to take over but I couldn't leave her side except for running home to take a shower and get another change of clothes. It was crazy. I missed work and didn't leave the hospital (I did lose 6 pounds from NOT eating hospital food for those three days though). Then, I came back to work on Wednesday and got sick myself on Friday. I called in sick on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I had got Tonsilitis because apparently I had bronchitis that wasn't treated. I had no idea as I hadn't even noticed the sore throat or anything while I was in the hospital. My poor family! Anyway, I was off work sick again so I couldn't get out of the house at all. I tried to work out one day and ended up curled up in a ball on the floor with a hacking cough that wouldn't let up. The last two weeks have been horrible! Hope things are better for you now! family life can sometimes just take it all out of you.

They just seem to continuously pass things from one person to the next 'til it gets you. I hope you're luckier than I was on this one.

Believe it or not, my little one is now sick. Fever and all.
Sigh.
I will never leave my house again!
(ok, maybe someday...)
Poor kids.
At least my older one is getting better!

Oh I know what you mean! I had a sick toddler last week and wasn't able to get to the gym. They do get well eventually!

Hang in there! Getting a clean house out of it is a nice win too! I hope you get back in your routine soon!

Be well,
Kelly

So my kindergartener is sick, didn't go to school yesterday or today, and won't go tomorrow (running a fever still today - sinus infection the poor guy!)

Anyway, I usually take my little one to the gym on Monday (or Tues), and then I go again on Wed and Thurs when she has pre-school...
Clearly I'm never going to get to exercise again!
So last night I did isometric strength training at home, and today I VIGOROUSLY cleaned! 3 bathrooms, and 1 kitchen floor. That's my cardio for the day!
Sigh - at least I made a good choice, and my house is cleaner as a bonus.
Just wish I could get to the blasted gym!
