My oldest is 24. He is married, and quite settled. If he has children soon the could end up playing on with the same toys as my youngest 2. Ian is 1, Cameron is 3.

ya'll are so funny....i have seen alot on this site but this almost fit me to a tee, but many years ago.. I told everyone I had 5 kids counting my husband as a kid too....Trust me when I say that the ages of your kids are great hold on tight the ride will start soon enough. My kids are grown now with my baby being 17..I had 3 girls 22,19, 17 and 1 son 23..I now have my 3 year old granddaughter that goes to her parents at their convenience(about twice a month)..My husband died of cancer last year so now I say I am a single parent to boot. My kids are all moving away too. I have 1 in Georgia, 1 in Texas and 1 just 1 town away and 1 still at home. But that won't be long I am sure. But the teenage years are the busy years and I mean busy..They play sports, get in the band or whatever extra curricular activities that exist and you follow them around it gets wild..But hang on tight because that also means they will be leaving very soon. You may think you can handle the day they walk out the door but it is harder than it seems. Lose your weight now because you have a lot of runnung coming soon. Take care and hope you all do well..Cheryl

Wow! I saw the message on the board, about having 4 kids.

Mine are 24, 13, 3, and 1. I also have a 12 year old stepdaughter who we see every other weekend.

Having my last 2 after 40, was easy, getting my body back, not so easy.

I think staying home this time round makes it even tougher. To much availability.

I know what you mean !! My kids are 17, 13, 7 & 3 and they are better about helping watch what I eat than my husband is! He loves to cook and the things he loves to cook are not the type of things that are good for controlling the waistline! When I come home from work, the house smells of wonderful things that are especially hard to control when I'm exhausted. Plus, as you said .. I've got the kids running me everywhere .. usually in the car so not a lot of calories burned while driving. It's really tough. The only times I have to exercise is when the kids have dance/tumbling classes. I'm lucky in that our fitness center offers the kids' classes so I can work out or take a class while they're taking class in the same building. Can you get out and walk while your hubby watches the kids? That would be good for mommy time as well as daddy/kids time. Now, if I can find a solution for the cook in our family !

I have 4 children + 1 hubby so does that count me in? My biggest problem is my husband he knows that i am trying to watch what I eat and then he goes and brings ice cream and candy bars and chips into the house. some days are good and then there are the days where I have no willpower. The other problem I have is 4 children keep me very busy ( my son is 7, daughter who is 5, daughter who is going to be 3 in April, and my last daughter just turned 18 months.) its hard to find the time to exercise and I love to walk but the children can't keep up to my fast paced walk.

Hey Sharon
I have 4 and 1 too. They all enjoy sports and running cross country. That is one main reason why I am really trying to lose weight, so I can keep up with them !! Last week was the first week they didn't have to leave me on the park bench while they finished the rest of their run. It was great.

I just completed a 1 1/2 mile walk with four 4-year old day-care kids. We usually walk a 24 minute mile. 3/4 mile to local playground and then 3/4 mile back. Tonight when my 5 get home from school we'll do at least another mile but faster.

Hi Sharon -

I imagine you are pulled in all sorts of directions with 4+1!!!! My three year old likes to work out with us (which is really cute) in the basement too after our 2 year old goes to sleep at night! Needless to say I'm sure your days are active...enjoy every minute of it!

4 kids, 1 husband. Find things they all like to do. Most like to come and workout with me in the basement.
