| Hi all. I found it sooo hard to get motivated, but as our big day is creeping up I am definately more positve about doing what needs to be done. And I am loving exercising (gasp) I have managed to lose 7lbs and I havent even started dieting yet. I go to the gym 3-4 times a week and try to do 2 classes. Its great to take your mind off of wedding planning too. The best advice I can give is not to give up. You will do it when you are ready. When the clock is ticking it spurs you into action. X

Not quite a bride, but I'm going to be chief bridesmaid-I know what you mean about motivation-it's hard! I NEVER use the word diet - its a swear word- it only gives you cravings for the "bad" food! you don't have to join a gym to exercise! Dump the car keys in a draw and walk - fresh air and circulation! Tell a friend - especially your chief bridesmaid - thats the best motivation! A true frined will be there to help! Also I agree with one of the previous comments, try on some dresses, you'll fall in love and want to look even better-it's a real kick in the butt!

I didn't look at this as losing weight...I looked at it more as changing my life to get healthier in the long run...I want to have kids in the next few years and I want to be in great shape while I'm pregnant and afer, and I have been looking at it like that...
The whole "diet" thing doesn't work for me...maybe it is just a matter of changing your mind set???
Good luck!! You will find the perfect dress for you!!!

| Have you tried dresses on yet? That was motivation enough for me to start working out and eating healthier.

| I am having trouble getting started with being motivated to do what it takes to lose my weight. Yes, I do have a huge incentive, but it seems difficult anyways. I need to lose weight so I can look good in a wedding dress. It would be nice to find a wedding dress I liked, and not need to worry about a little excess weight.
