Thank you. Problem solved, she just rang, managed to get an earlier flight, although she had to tell me how much it cost her. I asked her if I could see her dress, in an excited to see it way, and she said shes not going to wear ivory anymore, she has found a yellow one instead, so clearly she did know it was a no go, big sigh. Is that woman in the wedding party? If she is then that is a dumb question for her to ask to wear ivory. Even if she isn't you should give her your opinion and say you'd rather her not.

Okay, so you've had some glitches. They've worked themselves out. As for the woman who asked if she could wear ivory to your wedding. Well, she did ASK you, so give her an honest answer. Don't feel like you have to say yes and be a 'people pleaser'; I'm sure that woman has another dress in her closet.
Above all, try to relax. It's your special day. You WILL be the center of attention.

Please could somebody give me some advice. I am angry and need either calming down or being told I have a right to be mad. 1st thing, our original best man has let us down by booking himself a holiday the week before and after our wedding,(after agreeing to the job) therefore we have asked someone else. We got ourselves over that little problem but now, the mother of my H2B god daughter (who is a bridesmaid)has also booked themselves a little holiday 2 weeks before the wedding, they come back at 1200, the ceremony is at 1500. We have good mates, hey. To top it off she has also asked me if it would be ok to wear a ivory dress to the wedding. She is younger, skinnier, prettier and thanks to the holiday will be browner than me, and wants to wear a ivory dress to MY wedding. Want to swallow my pride, big myself up and not give a damn, but also want to slap her. Any suggestions?
