| Yeah that is a big issue! But with us, we only want our family there anyways so we already know they are going! It gives them a chance to have their own vacation that week also and so far everyone is excited about that factor!

IMHO, the first thing you need to think about with a destination wedding is whether or not the people you want to be there will be able to attend if you move the wedding away from home.

| Destination weddings are awesome! I think it would be best to have a wedding planner to take care of things on that end of the wedding! My fiance and I are actually considering getting married at this beautiful resort down in Florida. Its actually at Disney World so its going to be so different and it would be outside on a boardwalk...simply beautiful. I know its not out of country or anything but we will deffinately have a wedding planner that way all we have to do is show up! So far its going to be pretty cheap too! Around $15,000 and that includes wedding, site, sit-down reception, and honeymoon and all the little extras! You just have to search around and find that right "package" that suits you. Good Luck!

I have been thinking more and more about having a destination wedding. Some place warm, and tropical. I was wondering if anyone has any advice. How do you plan? Do you have to get a local wedding planner to help with details since you are not there? How about cost? Is it more expensive for a small destination wedding than a large wedding closer to home?
I am newly engaged so I have to many questions. We have not picked a date yet, or a location. I have always dreamed of getting married on the beach overlooking the ocean.
Any help, comments, or suggestions would be great!!!!
