There really is no way to lose weight from one specific section of your body, but if you are looking to firm up your abs, try Pilates. I love it! It really works. Hang in there, it will all even out eventually!

I understand. I too have lost quite a bit of weight--but not from my waist. I was getting discouraged but realized it won't help me lose it. So it just encourages me to try that much harder.

I don't have anyone to work out with and so I sort of started a personal accountability plan. Although this site does a great job of showing what I am doing--I like to have it in my face--and I can't stare at sparkpeople.com all day long. So I decided to start posting my minutes of exercise and calorie loss for each day on a 4x5 piece of paper and I'm hanging them on my bedroom wall--if I miss a day of exercise I leave a space on the wall where the paper should have been posted for that day. I currently have 23 sheets of paper and 7 empty spaces (2 of which I was awful sick). I'll try and post a picture when I get a chance. I hate to see those empty spots and they actually make me really mad and make me try that much harder.

Good Luck

Certain foods will kinda slow down your system in such a way that will kind of make your belly bloat up. Carbonation and stuff will also do a major number on poofing out your belly. Good luck!

Thanks for your thoughts it helps to know your not alone, and yes i am doing turbo jam alot. I definatly think it works but my stomach hurts for at least 2 days. My stomach does feel hard but no missing inches. My chest on the other hand will require a training bra soon i'm afraid. That is why I'm so bothered. Don't want to loose much more weight, it's disapearing only where i don't want it to what now!!

Don't give up! I have the same issue you do. I lost a ton of weight after having DD, but, my waist is still thicker than I'd like, and I've got a bump that refuses to go away. Are you doing exercise along with dieting? Abs? Sometimes when you start getting close to your goal, your abs are well developed and losing the inches there is harder.

Hang in there.
