well hun u have to learn to love some exercise: maybe walking, shopping..something like that :) add some weights (dumbbells) and u should be fine. measure what you eat, pay attention to hidden calories, eat clean (no junk) and u'll lose the weight u want to

I just ordered my dress yesterday, and I'm nervous because they were out of every size except for small, and they're not being made anymore! I had planned on getting a medium, and would probably need to lose some weight to wear that. I'm trying to lose 15-20 pounds, but I'm sure I'll have to have the dress altered as well. Hopefully it will work out!

I usually gain weight in the winter and lose some as it gets warmer out. I don't know how soon your wedding is (mine's in June), but maybe as the weather improves you'll find that it's easier to be active without a major exercise routine. Good luck!

Unfortunately, I don't think you'll see many results without incorporating exercise. I think the key will be find some type of physical activity that you enjoy so that it's not such a chore and doesn't feel like punishment.

I'll bet you find its a great stress reliever too!

I hate exercise, but I do it... for my health and for the wedding. It's something I just *need* to do and is a non-negotiable.

Adjust your diet as best you can, but that in itself isn't a magic bullet either.

Good luck.

i don't really like exercise for exercise's sake, but i joined a gym sometime back and it is kinda fun and i'm enjoying it now since i go for classes like latin dance, hip-hop, jazz, body combat, etc at the gym.

it helps since there are friends there at the gym to motivate me. it is very different from exercising alone.

another friend i know took up salsa lessons and combined with proper eating habits, enough rest, and drinking enough water each day, she has managed to lose weight as well.

anyways, good luck and have a great wedding!

Proper diet, exercise, and sleep are the foundations of healthy living (or so I'm told.) Best results are achieved with all three, but making lifestyle changes in any of the three areas will help.

Personally, I found getting good sleep led to having more energy to exercise and less cravings to eat poorly. I also have a few weakness foods that I simply swore off from eating- soda (diet or otherwise), fast food, and anything that comes out of a vending machine. Switching to low calorie-density foods helps, too- the longer it takes you to eat, the sooner you will feel satiated and the fewer calories you will consume.

I find it difficult to commit time to working out, so I try to incorporate it into my daily routine as much as possible. This includes walking to work/school (instead of driving or taking the bus) and using the stairs instead of the elevator. These activities are a great way to get the heart rate up a little without feeling sweaty, exhausted, or having to commit a period of time to the activity. (I'd probably spend the same time waiting for the elevator and it's only a few more minutes of time to walk to work.)

Best of luck and I hope you have a great wedding!
