I had a hard time starting, too. It took me three weeks to actually make changes and get on track. I was down and felt depressed, just like you. I just had to come to terms with WHY I felt that way. I had low self esteem and family problems. I used food to cope, and I KNEW that was hurting me and I needed to stop. I got some positive self-talk CD's and joined a gym. Every morning (and I felt cheesy doing it) I would get up and say nice things to me about me. It helped, a lot. I cut the negative people out of my life, and I got a trainer. I needed help. I started a motivation book and started keeping track of every calorie. It was a pain at first, but it's second nature, now. Now, I'm on track and feeling great.

i haven't seen a lot of weight loss but I have had results in other ways/areas.
I started out strong but with the holidays, it seems to get very busy and I get stressed out. Do the best you can now with your fast break and maybe restart the program in the new year.

I'm nowhere near where I would like to be, BUT I have lost 30 pounds since last year and I'm down quite a few sizes. I still have a ways to go, but my wedding is in 2 months and you know what? I'm not going to let having some weight to lose stop me from enjoying my wedding day to the fullest! Just do what MeganJane1 said and take it one day at a time!

Don't be discouraged! I think an important thing to think of is that you're doing this for WAY more than just fitting into a dress. You'll be doing it for YOU, for your health, and that's the best thing you can do for yourself.

Take it one step at a time. Have you set your goals on here? Make sure you track your calories, get that exercise in, and just think about each day as one more chance to make the right decisions. The pounds will melt off before you know it, and you'll be so distracted with how great you feel, the number on the scale won't matter as much.

Best of luck!! You CAN do this.

I know it's hard to start...but once you do, you'll be SO glad you did.

I hate making myself go to the gym, but once I'm there I enjoy myself (never thought I'd say THAT!) and am always really glad I went.

Good luck - you can do it!!

I totally understand. my wedding is in 1 year and I just keep putting myself last, I use the " i'll start tomorrow" method everyday. Just have to face it that ou will only get to what will make you happy if you just face it and try.

Much luck

I know how you feel. I won't even set a date for the wedding until I lose the weight. I need all the support I can get too.
