My FI and I met in high school back in April 2000. I was in 9th grade he was in 10th. Yup, we're high school sweethearts! We use to walk past each other on our way to 6th period. One day I was walking with a friend and I was telling her about him and how cute I thought he was. All of a sudden I saw him walking toward us and I was like "omg, that's him" and she said "you mean glen?" I was like "what you know him?" and sure enough she did. She told him about how I thought he was cute and he actually told her the same thing. So one day I gave him my number and he called me and almost 7 years later we are still going strong.

| Hope guys can post here? I basically insulted my wife to b and it went from there, (NO I don't do that anymore) If you were to ask her we still laugh about it today, Sometimes that big mouth can get you in trouble and sometimes that can intrigue the opposite.

My friends and I held a bbq dinner 3 years ago and invited a bunch of friends and whoever else they had wanted to bring. So, my fiance was invited by someone else...who had arrived late to the bbq. He walked in and the group of us looked at him...he introduced himself "Hi I'm Matt" and we misunderstood and thought he was there LOOKING for the host's brother, Matt. 10 minutes had gone by and we started wondering why this guy was still just seating here not going anywhere... So, being the polite people that we are, we asked if he wanted us to call Matt(the brother) for him again. He looked at us like we were crazy and re-said his name and this time said so-and-so invited him for the bbq. *doh*
We started dating about 3 months after, and got engaged 2 years later. :)

| I actually met my fiance' online at a website called "Hotornot." I posted my picture as a joke to see what kind of responses I would get. He was one of the many guys that responded, but there was something about him that was different from all the others. We talked online for a few months, then on the phone and then about 4 months later, we met in person. We have been together for over two years and are getting married on December 2nd, 2006 in Las Vegas!

| I've known my man since I was 2 years old!!!!! We grew up about 5 miles apart in a town in MA. He and my brother became best friends in kindergarden and have been ever since. We used to hate each other when we were young, were indifferent through high school/college, because best friends when I was finishing college, and started dating about 2.5 years ago. He told me the night that we started dating that he had promised my brother that he wouldn't date me unless he was positive he would marry me... kinda scared me at the time but he was true to his word and we are sooooooo excited!

| My mom actually introduced us. They worked at the same building and finally my mom asked him if he was single because she had a single daughter. He said yes and gave her his contact information which she gave me. I didn't contact him for 4 months so she gave me the information again. (I had been too shy). Finally I just e-mailed him and then we started talking and then met. Now we're getting married!

I live in DC, where there are twice as many women as men. I did the bar scene, local events, Match.com, and a bunch of outside activities with friends, and dated a ton of guys but got kind of burned by some jerks. A bunch of friends told me to try eHarmony.com before I took a dating hiatus, because of all the tv commercials, so I tried it. Good thing too! We both were trying it for a month (I actually cancelled my membership within 3 hours, so eHarmony gave me 2 months free), and neither of us were really expecting anything. I met up with 2 men: one on a Wednesday, and my now-fiance on a Thursday. On email and the phone, I liked them both. In person, the link with my fiance was better than anything I had experienced before... I didn't think it would work out, but I have a rule to always go upward in my dating, and I figured if I saw how wonderfully a man could treat me, I would never settle for less again. And now, amazingly, I get to stay with this man for the rest of our lives. Dang, I'm lucky!!!

| I met my fiance through my brother, sort of. The first time we ever met, my brother and I were at a bar and saw one of my brother's friends, Lauren, who was dating Alex at the time. I thought Alex was extremely attractive and intelligent, but he was obviously attached. I was bummed. A YEAR went by, and my brother and I were at the same bar hanging out again, and Alex was there with some buddies celebrating a friend's birthday. I saw Alex and decided I should go talk to him. We hit it off almost instantly. Later in the evening, I made a bet with him about a song that was playing, and I lost. He then told me that he would relieve me of my debt if he could take me to dinner one night. After pinching myself, I said yes! We went on our first date (we went for sushi) and have been together ever since. That was a year and a half ago.

| He was a bouncer at a bar that I used to go to a long time ago, but I didn't remember him at all. The bar has since closed, and a mutual friend ran into him at another bar and he suggested that they get together later to catch up. Now, this friend of mine thinks that every man wants to date her so she dragged me along. As soon as I saw him I knew and vice versa. We've been together ever since!

| My FH and I met online in a chat room but unfortunately I was involved at the time. We kept in contact for a few months. Then when I was in Indiana on vacation, we were chatting online and I told him my bf and I broke up. He wanted to meet immediately which was not going to happen since I was in Indiana and he was in CA. When I got back, we met in person for the first time and the rest is history!

| I met my love on St. Patty's Day in a local bar. His friend wanted to talk to my friend, so being the wing-woman, I am, I walked with her and stopped in front of my husband-to-be! My friend and I chatted and walked away. Later that night, I noticed he was still standing in te same place, so I walked over again, giving him an opportnuity to get my phone number. Instead he remembered my email address (we work at the same company) and he emailed me the next day. I couldn't believe he remembered my name! The rest is history!

My fiancee used to be my gas man in my old workplace.
It wasn't my job to go open the shutter and sort out the delivery but I made it my job!
Loved the way he looked in his overalls, all scruffy and sexy, yummy!!

Like my parents, and my older sister and her husband, I met my fiance at work ... specifically, a grocery store.
I was pretty new there when we met, and I previously referred to him as the 'jovial boy in the deli,' since he would always say hi to me, and really interacted with the customers.
In October, we got to dress up for Halloween, and I came in as a fairy. He was there when I went to punch in and he said, "I always knew you were an angel."
I think about a month later, he asked me out and the rest is history :)

| We met through my best friend. He was about to break up with this girl that he was dating and i was about to break up with this guy I was dating. My best friend and I had planned a girl's night out and our designated driver had cancelled on us so she told him that if he was willing to fill in she would introduce us (we had met very briefly once before that) and we have been together ever since. What's funny though is that the first time we met we did not like each other but we didn't really get much of a chance to talk then either.

Now don't laugh but I met mine at the bar. But the crazy thing is he turned out to be my neighbor and I didn't even know it. Once we got together we started noticing all kinds of coincidences, too many to list, and we decided it was fate. I can't wait to marry him.

| A friend of mine set me up with him. She kept telling me that she saw "my future husband" and she talked to "my future husband". I kept telling her she was crazy. Then she set us up (he was completely oblivious to the whole thing) about 2 years ago, when I was interviewing for a job back home. Got the job, we started dating and it has worked out very well. And she reminds me all the time it was part of her plan and her deeds that led me this way.

We started dating, and after two weeks together (as more than friends) we were living together. We've been together for 7 years now. :)

We met about eight years ago through his best friend, who I was dating at the time. His best friend and I broke up, but it wasn't too long until they both liked me and I was forced to choose. I didn't want to go for a round two with his best friend, so I started dating my Henry. That was a little more than six years ago. Everything with his best friend is peachy right now, but it was pretty awkward for a while there...ha!
I love these stories! Keep 'em comin!

| I met my fiance in college. I actually was the girl who lived on the couch in my brothers house for a few months. My FI brother was a roommate of my brothers so my FI also going to the same school came by all the time. I didn't know his real name for 2 months. We started seeing each other on the sly, because my brother could get extremely angry. Eventually he graduated and I began going to chiropractic school in the same city he lived in and we've been together ever since....minus the few bumps in the road!!!

| My Fiance was a friend of my sisters. For the first 3 months of our relationship I didn't even know his name. Everyone calls him by his nickname. I knew his first name but thought his surname was something different... funny story for the kids!! We will have been together for almost 10 years when we get married next year - 14 Arpil 07... We are kind of high school sweethearts. I was at school, he had already left - and different schools.

I met my finace while signing into an online parenting site. We logged in at the EXACT same time and the computer gave us the same log in number. For a few days we had trouble with our accounts becasue of the login info. I contacted him after it was all fixed, only to find out that there was a message waiting for me from him. He lived in the neighbouring city. After talking about parenting issues for several weeks we thought that we would meet with our children.
That was 4 years ago. We are getting married in 6 weeks (Oct. 7, 2006) Michelle
