Usually they stand up there with the groom and groomsmen, however I have seen it where they go sit with the grandparents until it's time to exchange the rings (you know, where he acts like he actually has the rings on the pillow).

My son is going to be my ring bearer and I was wondering what most people do when the ring bearer gets to the front. . .should he stay at the front until my fiance and I exchange rings. . .or should he give the pillow to someone or place it somewhere and then go sit down for ceremony?
