The elegance of calla lillies is one of the reasons they're my favorite flower. My bridesmaids as well will be carrying a single lilly. We even found mini callas for the boutineers!
The ivory and gold sounds very warm and inviting. And in June, with all the sunshine, it seems a perfect match!

| Hi someone else recommended I add in another stonger colour, but i think the golden yellow maybe strong enough, if I was to add in another colour it would either be the sunshine burnt orange colour or it would be the golden olive colour..... anyway for some reason I know I want to work aroung the bridesmaids dresses!

I like the ivory and gold and I definatly like the calla lily idea. I wonder why... I went with dark ivory and cranberry as my colors and calla lily and stargazer as the main flowers. It turned out beautiful. Look at my profile and photo album for pics of the lovely day.
No matter what you pick, you wedding will be beautiful and you will be the happiest person on earth.

Well somehow my fiance' convinced me into doing a Mossy Oak theme wedding. He and his best man will be wearing Mossy Oak Vests and the rest of his grooms men will be wearing champagne vests. My bridesmaid are wearing champagne and I think my matron of honor will be in either a green or maybe chocolate gown. I am wearing ivory with champagne trim and my flowergirl is wearing ivory. Oh and I think our ringbearer will wear the mossy oak vest also. I found a really cute ring bearer pillow and garder in mossy oak. So I guess our colors are champagne and either green or chocolate.

My wedding was May 26th, 2006 and although I started out a blue colour scheme it didn't really work out that way.
The bridemaids were in periwinkle blue. Our bouquets were magenta pink roses (or a combination of light and dark pink).
Our table linens were all white. The centerpieces were calla lillie (with some blue sand as filler in the vase).
Our cake was white with dark pink roses and our decorations were all white and pink.
So there wasn't really a theme but all the colours looked great together and the wedding was awesome.

| My wedding is in June 2007 and we're going with a sky blue and springie yellow. I think the blue really speaks of beautiful days full of dreams and the yellow is just a bright and happy color.

I don't know if these colors have been mentioned together yet, but we are using read and white. I will have a white gown with a red trim at the top and bottom ... so will my daughter from previouse marriage. We want her included. Both of us will be sporting armloads of red and white roses.
Downfall? Apparently I am taking a chance here. I read some superstitious page that said red and white is about the worst color combination ever, since they were both tradintionally indicative of death. However, I believe in my GOD, and I know that when He calls me home, it won't matter to him what colors I got married in. So I am coosing to go with what is beautiful, and trust in the Lord on my day. Good luck everyone!

Hi Wedz17; If you want an extra splash of color why not add some peach colored lillies? My cousin recently got married and her colors were peach & yellow. Very soft romantic colors. Very Summer! Best of luck to you!

| WEDZ17, I think that the colors you chose will be beautiful together. Even though they are somewhat monochromatic, they are different shades in the same color pallet and should compliment each other very well. I also would use as much ivory as possiable (ie your table linens or touille) that would pull everything together and keep it every soft and mellow. I wish you the best of luck! Let us know how it goes.

| Your wedding will be the day after mine! I love the Calla lilies. They are so elegant.

| Hello my wedding is next year , June the 9th. I was thinking both yellwo and white lillies would look nice ,especially since the white lillies sometimes have a yellow middle. I like gold accessories too. I thought gold , yellow , buttercream, and ivory were very monochromatic, and would nicely blend into each other, but do you think where the flowers are concerned i should add another colour to make it a bit bright....or is the yellow bright enough to compliment the white and cream

What time of the year are you getting married in? I am an event planner for a hotel and this spring I have had 4 weddings that were pink and sage/mimnt green. It is great for spring time, but I think it is starting to be over done. The golds and yellows sound nice too. I haven't seen that color scheme yet.
Also, even if you decide to go with the pink and green, but really want calla lillies, keep in mind that callas come in an array of colors other than yellow. Just a thought.
Good Luck!

Thanks everyone, I also really like calla lillies , you know the londg stemmed ones with the yellow middle , so I guess white and yellow lillies coupled with roses in golden yellow and banana and white would go well, plus my sister (bridesmaids) wanted to wear gold shoes. BUt then again they also liked pin. Funny enough I saw flowers in orange and royal purple and they looked good as well...but i think i will stick to my first choice.

| I would go for the pink and mint green...pink is my favorite color. Both those schemes you pick out are very hot right now so you should not have any trouble finding any items.

| I used pink, but very dark almost red with a little green and khaki suits for the guys. It looked awesome in pictures. The yellows and golds sound pretty too.

| i think they both sound lovely but portray very different moods. the yellows and gold sounds more elegant and formal to me. the pink and green sounds more cutsie and less formal, but still gorgeous. both will be beautiful, just depends on what look / feel you are going for. i would also consider what color your bridesmaids will wear and how they will look in the color. just some thought, hope it helps.

Don't pick one! Just get stuff that looks pretty together.
I never did pick out a color scheme, and the wedding worked out anyways. Just told the bridesmaids it was black tie, went with regular white table linens, native flowers that were in bloom, and it turned out beautifully.

I'm currently contemplating my colour scheme and stuck on two choices A combination of buttercup yellow, ivory and gold, (I'm thinking more of calla lillies as well as butterflies & dragonflies as deco)
Then there is the pink with mint green ( I'm thinking roses etc and greenery
