Up for work before the dawn,
To serve coffee to the masses
Sleepy bodies dragging in
The laddies and the lasses
Feeding their addiction
A slave to a cup of Joe
I too hooked on the roasted bean
Am guilty, so I know.
Cappuccino or a latte
Mocha or just a brew
Most of them buy one
Some maybe even two.
This coffee house I work at
Is quite a gathering place.
We always serve the coffee
At a lively steady pace
Many customers I know by name.
Some I have befriended
I truly would be sad
If my employment ever ended.
Anytime you’re in my town
Come in and get a cup
It would be a pleasure
For me to serve you up.

Well, I used to be a Network Administrator... nearly killed me...
Then, I became a Humanities Graduate student...
So, goes without saying...
I'm unemployed ;)
Actually, I'm doing some freelance writing and looking for community college teaching jobs right now. In the fall, depending on how the job search goes, I'm going to either go back and get my teacher cert. so I can teach HS, or I'll go back for a 2nd master's in prep for PhD.
