hey everyone!
Sorry I haven't written in a while been really busy with wedding stuff. My wedding is on saturday! I'm soo excited. It still hasn't clicked in yet, but I know on Friday when we go for the rehersal it certainly will. most of our stuff is finished and we are ready forthe big day. I just need to finish up making one of the halos and the last tree for the reception. I'm trying to stay on top of my weight. I am no longer working, so it is easier to not eat as much as I did when I was working. I did though have an ice cap today and a muffin, but Im still within my range.
I'm glad to see everyone is doing well. I haven't gone to the gym in two weeks but I have been going to the mall alot this week so I am getting in some exercise! lol I should go into the gym soon though, just to see how my weight is doing since I havent been doing anything hard core in almost a month.

well good luck all and I hope to talk to you all before the wedding. Take care.

WTG Tami. All loss is good loss. Well done.

Chris, have a good few days away, & well done on packing your food. I presume you must work a distance from home.

Well, I've just had my lunch. I'm going to have a half hour sit down, then it's off to the gym.

Have a good day everyone & I'll catch you all later. Helen.

Morning Ladies.

Sounds like all is going well with everyone.

I had my weigh in today and was surprised as I looked at the scale to see I had lost .2 lbs.

I know its not much, but its the first time since I started this program that the scale has shown any weight loss!! I also lost an inch off my hips.

Hope everyone has a great day, and I'll chat with you all later.

Tami

Well........if you're in cleaning mode. I have tons for you. My house is a permanent building site, so it's like fighting a losing battle to keep on top of it all. Keep up the good work.

Goodnight all. Helen.

Hi all. Thanks for the meal idea, CALIGIRL. I ended up defrosting a portion of the veg. curry I made the other day. I had it with rice to up the cals. & carbs. a bit. I just made my ranges.
The problem I have on split shift days, is that I'm sooooo busy I don't have time to stop. The 2 hours I have between shifts, I tend not to do too much. I have my lunch then get on the computer for a little while. After I finish the evening shift, I always feel too tired to eat.
I really should get some low fat, low cal. microwave meals in, something like weight watchers or Tesco Healthy Living ones.
Oh well! Back to work in 45 mins. Good luck with getting your water in Maureen.
Have a great day, everyone, & I'll check back in at the end of my day.
Take care, Helen.

Hey all...

So my goal for today is to drink a gallon of water. I used to get all my water in everyday and then I suddenly stopped about a month ago. So, today I'll get it in. It's already 3pm and I relized I am incredibly thirsty...no wonder becasue I havn'T had any water today. I'll be happy if I get half concidering how late it in...but I'm still turning over a new leaf and drinking as much water as I can.

I better go hit the gym too. Only two weeks till I go home, and I want a smokin' body!

wow, helen. i don't think i've ever even come close to not reaching my minimum calories for any day! i have to say...i'd LOVE to have that problem. :-)

peanut butter is a good way to add instant calories. maybe a Peanut Butter & jelly sandwich on whole wheat, with a glass of milk and a piece of fruit? quick, easy, and somewhat healthy!

Hi all.

Maureen, I'm so glad you had a nice time on your date. It's a shame it happened just before you leave, but isn't that the way always goes?.....or is that just me?

Tami, I'm glad you found a dress & shoes. I love shoes but Jim says I have too many - he's just a spoilsport. Just because he only has 3 pairs.

I woke up this morning feeling very positive, & I still do. The only thing is, I haven't got a clue what to have for dinner. I did a split shift again today, & I struggle to make my minimum cals. on those days. I've still got to have at least 600 cals. Any ideas, anyone?

I hope you all are having a wonderful day. Talk to you later, Helen.

Hey Ladies.

Armonia: Glad to hear you had a nice time on your date. Too bad you are leaving.

CRUSINLALA: Don't worry.... you have time to get a dress. I found one yesterday. I also found shoes too! I love them, they are adorable!

I had a bad eating day yesterday girls. Not good at all. I ate a chocolate bar and muffin. Went over my calories big time. I did alot of house work, and was sweating my butt off, so I am happy about that.

Chat with you all later.

umm date,

His name is Micheal (as in the sexy euro pronunciation) he is cute and nice. We had a good time and some Chinese food and mostly talked about American movies. the movie Napolean Dynamite was filmed in my area (even partly in my town) and we talked about that a lot. It was fun, but I leave in two weeks. If I had more time I would keep it going, but alas, I don'T. It was nice though.

SPAMMESKINNY: Welcome to our group!

Helen: Great job on the weight loss.

The pool party last night was a lot of fun. We ended up having pizza. Not to bad. So I had 2 slices, and 2 glasses of wine. I have not yet entered it on the computer, so we shall see if I went over my daily calories.

I had no luck finding a dress. All the stores seem to be getting rid of their summer stuff and putting out fall stuff. Its frusturating. I need a dress!!!

Have a good day ladies, and I will check in later.

Bye for now,

Tami

Well, I weighed myself this morning, & I've lost a pound. I'm happy with that. I'll be happier when this visitor goes, & takes the cramps away. I really don't feel up to much today. Jim suggested taking his RC boat to a little rocky bay that he found the other day. I think I'll go. It'll do me good to get out in the fresh air. No sun today but it's not raining & there are little breaks in the cloud, so the day might improve.

Chris, you work late! Slipping off the wagon now & then is OK. It takes time to adjust to a new lifestyle. When I'm feeling down about everything, I tell myself that the weight didn't go on overnight, & it won't come off that quick either.

I've just joined a Christmas Challenge to lose 23 lbs. by Christmas. That's just 1lb. a week. I think it's doable (is that actually a word?).

Anyway, enough of my rambling for one morning. Have a great day everybody & I'll catch up with you all after work tonight. Helen.

Hey Helen.......Good luck with you weigh in!

I worked till 11pm.........am looking forward to a day in the sun finally tomorrow........except for my visitor showed up today also so that will put a small damper on tomorrow! Dress fitting (2nd) is Friday...........

Here I am - back from a very busy day at work. I wore my pedometer today, & up to now (11pm), I've done over 17,000 steps.

I've been very good on my eating & exercise today to make up for yesterday. I was supposed to weigh today but I chickened out & decided to do it tomorrow. And, to top it all off, my monthly visitor arrived today, so if I've lost anything, I will be most pleasantly surprised.

I don't know all the different times with you all, but I hope you have, or have had, a great evening.

Take care, all. Helen.

Hi SPAMMESKINNY, welcome to the group. It's a very friendly place to be. I noticed you just signed up yesterday. It takes a little while to look at all the resources that SP has, but whatever it does have, works. Sometimes, you have to be a little patient. A lb. a week is a good loss to aim for.

Tami, I hope you find a beautiful dress & that you have a good (healthy) time at the party.

Chris, don't work too hard, & make sure you wear your hat:)

Have a great day, everybody. Helen.

Hello all, I wanted to sign up for this group since I'm going to be getting married in a year. We still don't have a location (besides the city) or caterer or anything, but we're moving to a new apartment now and really don't have the time.

I'm going to lose 50 pounds (that's really only one a week) before the wedding, or aim to, and be happy if I actually lose half that, because I'm going to be a first year teacher this fall and KNOW that I eat when I get stressed and KNOW that this will be the most stressful thing I have ever done!

Helen: Sounds like you had a great dinner! I too would not even track that. Its a rare treat, just like you said.

CRUSINLALA: Your cake flavors sound so yummmy. I think they really go well with the design of the cake. Can't wait to see pic's.

Well, nothing new here. I am really doing well with staying below the 1550 calories per day. I am struggling with the exercise though.

Today I am off to find a dress to wear to a wedding we are going to next weekend. Then I am going to my friends place for a pool party!

Have a great day ladies, and I'll check back later.

Oh my! I'm back from my dinner. And it's just as well I had spare calories. I had black pudding, bacon & apple fritter in a cider apple sauce to start. Then I had venison & haggis on a potato rosti with broccoli, mange tout & carrots in a madeirs sauce. And for dessert - yes, I had dessert - dark chocolate parfait with a white chocolate sauce. I'm not even going to attempt to track it. It was wonderful, but definitely a rare treat.
CHRIS, I look forward to seeing the pictures of your cake, even if I have to wait 'til September. And good luck to your DF with his business.
I'll talk to you all at some point tomorrow. I'm on a split shift, so I don't know when I'll get to the computer.
Take care, all. Helen.
