Hello All.

Yesterday was not so good. I ended up caving and had some cake. I did manage to stay below 1550 calories, but went over my daily fat calories, by 8.

How are you all doing? I read all the posts, and it seems like all and all, some are seeing success! Thats wonderful. Keep up the great work!

Pixie: I can relate 100% with how you feel. Don't be discouraged though. We all from time to time do not like what we see in the mirror. We are so hard on ourselves. Keep up all the hard work! We are here if you need us.

Have a good day ladies, and I'll check in later.

Tami

Well done, Maureen. I'm definitely NOT at the jogging stage.
I hope every body is feeling fine today, & PIXIEFLOWER, I hope you're feeling better.
I'm just off to do some shopping so I'll check back in later. Helen.

CALIGIRL, well done, & with a party last night. I'm very impressed.
PIXIEFLOWER, please don't sound so sad. I think we all see distorted views of ourselves in mirrors, & don't understand why other people don't see the same things. It's worse when you're feeling stressed. As CALIGIRL says, you're working towards a healthier future. There may be steps back, but most of the steps will be forward. Chin up. We're with you. Helen.

pixie, we all have bad days when we don't like what we see in the mirror, but we're all here and obviously making lifestyle changes. it may take a long time, it may go quickly, but i believe we'll all reach our goals. keep your eyes on the prize...that motivates me, knowing i'm working towards something and not just giving in to where i am now. you can do it too, pixie. and you know it, otherwise you wouldn't have set the goal and you wouldn't be putting in the work. keep it up!! you'll get there. :-)

hey everyone!!

Been awhile since my last post. Been really busy as the wedding is in 13 days and am busy every day getting stuff finished up and paid for.
Went shopping yesterday for a dress or skirt for the gift opening the next day and I was not pleased. Everything I tried on in this one store made me look fat, would not do up or didn't sit right on my large chest. I was almost in tears as I looked at myself in the mirror. I hate my large hips. I feel like they are never going away and I am doomed to be fat for the rest of my life. I am trying to eat right, have been out walking almost everyday lately and I still look like (what I think) a balooga whale. I sometimes don't even know why i bother and I think I should just give up. Everyone famale in my family is over weight. i'm destined to be fat and there is nothing I can do about it. I'm sorry to be so negative and down. I just hate my body right now and wish I could wake up one day and find that it all disapeared in my sleep and that I am not a beautiful person with a kick ass body. Only in my dreams.
Well I hope everyone else is having a good weekend. God bless and good luck all!

Tami, well done on your restraint. Fingers crossed it's as good tonight. Have lots of fun.
I have been to the vintage rally that's held each year in my village. It has lots of old tractors, cars & stationary engines. Also fairground rides & burger & hotdog vans. I stayed away from them, & I stayed away from the cake stalls, too. I bought some locally grown strawberries & they were delicious.
I have to go to work in an hour, so I'll catch up with you later. (well, anyone who's not away or camping or something) Take care, Helen. (This has been our weather today).

Good Morning.

I wanted to pop in to see how everyone is doing, with the holiday and all! I have another BBQ to attend tonight. This time my Mom's place. Yesterday it was fiance's family. We had a blast, and the fireworks at night were so beautiful!

I have to say that I am proud of myself for not over eating, and actually getting in all my water! I even stayed below 1400 calories yeterday!!

Hope you all are well. I will chat with you all tommorow! Take care ladies.

I forgot to say "well done Chris" when I posted earlier. That's a milestone.
CALIGIRL, I also forgot to tell you that your dress looks beautiful. We're all going to be stunning brides, & bridesmaids. Have fun at your parties, etc., & think of me while I'm working. And, if you're in a country that has a holiday about now, Happy Holiday!!!!
Talk to you all later. Helen.

Morning everyone.
Maureen, no I'm not coming to Germany - I was just being nosy. My future Father in Law is, though, about 2 days before you leave.

Well, the good news is that I weighed this morning, &, even though I had a couple of not so good days, I've lost another lb. & one more inch, half an inch off my waist & half an inch off my hips. So I'm not too unhappy. I was expecting to have stayed the same.

Anyway, I do hope you all have a lovely Saturday. The weather here is beautiful this morning, I hope it's just as good wherever you are. Helen.

Hi ladies. If I've posted too late & missed some of you, I hope you have a good weekend. I've worked a long day today. We weren't too busy tonight but because of that I had to clean the big catering oven. Yucky job but someone's got to do it. Don't know why it's always me, though?
Those who will be at home this weekend, have a good one & I'll catch up with you later. Helen.
P.S. Maureen, when are you leaving Germany?

CALIGIRL33: Enjoy your days off! Saturday is a holiday here (Canada Day) My fiance and I are planning on going down to the lake, there's always fireworks and stuff, so it'll be nice.

I'm doing good with my calories today. My goal is not to go above 1350 per day. The closer to 1200 the better.

Talk to you all later,

Tami

hey,
So, I went to the gym today after having sore muscles from the day before, and boy did it kill me. I feel really strong now though. I slept 12 hours!!! I am back on the wagon though as far as eating.

It is so hot here, I wonder if sweating can be concidered and excercise in itself, just joking.

have a great day ladies!!

Hi there. I'll make this a quick post (ha! as if I could). We had a great day out today. The Isle of Skye is stunningly beautiful. We took lots of pics, so I'll try & put some on my Sparkpage in the next day or two. We drove 440 miles in 13 1/2 hrs, including stopping a few times. We had our lunch out & I was very naughty & had a piece of a sticky chocolatey dessert. I haven't had any dinner, though, because I'm just too stuffed, so I did stay in my ranges, but I don't think it's the healthiest day I've ever had.
Everybody sounds like they had a good day today. I'll catch up properly tomorrow, although it won't be 'til about this time again, because I'm working a split shift, & I have a hair appointment in between the shifts. Goodnight all, Helen.

P.S. See? I just can't do a quick post.

Armonia........sounds like you had a good day yesterday! That's great! I know everybody burns fat in differant places while doing cardio.......but I feel like I've lost most the weight in my legs........my legs have way trimmed up doing 30 mins of 3.8mph walking per day on the treadmill (uphill).....I don't know if you do much cardio/fast walking.....but that is what has really burns the fat off my legs!

Hey All!

Armonia: I only count water intake. I do not add other liquids I consume. I think I read somewhere on here that other drinks do not count toward your daily water intake. I could be wrong though.

I am having a good day today. I plan on going home and doing some cardio. Sorry about the downer post the other day. I just get discouraged that's all. Thanks for being here for me ladies. It means alot.

Hope all is well, talk to you all later,

Tami

I lifted weights yesterday, and boy am I sore. It'S a good sore though. I'm just ocming to relise that my legs are looking GREAT! I'm short and my legs have always been fat and stubby (I would never wear shorts) and now they have muscle and even thought hte muscle is way bigger my thighs are slimming down. I'm so happy about this becasue I want nice legs!

Helen: I'm fine, I had a bad day after getting in a fight with the MOH (as if that'S news, geeze we don'T get along) all is worked out and the bride is no longer relying on me to fight her battles for her (the bride didn'T like the date of the shower..blah blah blah)

Aug 11th ppl: It'S almost here !!!!!!! I'm so excited

I REALLY need to work on the water thing...do you all count things like tea (I drink about a pot a day) and other liquids, or just water?

Well.......have a fun day trip.......what a neat idea to do one a month from a calandar! Drive safe!
P.S. I love ALL men is kilts!
NELLGWYN

Hi All. Men generally only wear the kilt for special occasions these days. One of the doctors at our GP clinic wears his all the time, but he's the exception. Most men look good in a kilt, unless they have really bad legs, like my other half. LOL. I used to work at a posh hotel, & weddings were always a treat. Well, for me anyway. And Highland Games. They're good too.

Camp breakfast. Hmmm. Spray oil for the potatoes, scramble or poach the eggs, & grill the bacon.

I'm off to bed now because we have a long day tomorrow. We go on a trip every month to the place pictured on a calendar we bought, & this month it's the Isle of Skye. It's a round trip of 330 miles & we only have the one day to do it. So goodnight ladies, & I hope everyone feels better tomorrow. Take care. Helen.

Oh yea........I'm looking for good ideas to help me out with the upcoming 4 day weekend.....we will be camping out and we always eat like pigs and drink like fish when we camp......so far have come up with:
1) instead of making one big fattening pasta salad.......make two and make one with fat free/low cal stuff.
2) instead of BBQing the usual cheese burgers covered with sauteed mushrooms....try BBQing chicken........of course we can still have steaks for 1 night
3) buy Michelobe Ultra to drink instead of the usual fattening stuff and TRY to keep it to a minimum

Now.....for breakfast I am stumped as we usually make fried potatoes, eggs, bacon, pancakes, etc....see I still have to cook things DF would like.........any great ideas for camping without overeating would be helpful.
