No, you have every right to be freaked out, I was. wedding dresses are so expensive you really need for it to be right in every way, so that you can be a blushing bride and know on your wedding day that this is THE right dress. Just keep up the weight loss, you are doing so well, don't stop now. Your fiance is so right, he sounds like a very calming person.

thanks for your advice- I havent contacted the dress shop yet- because I dont want them to think I am crazy although I doubt that I am the first person this has happened to in their profession. I am waiting for the dress to come in first, before to see what really needs to be done. I just need to relax. I think I just flipped out a little yesterday with thinking about the wedding and all again. I wont worry about it till the dress comes in... because what will be will be. My fiance always says, "we can cross that bridge when we come to it, you have no control over this matter."

Congrats on your weight loss, that's awesome.
I had the same problem, I ordered a bigger size and then when the dress arrived I had lost 2 dress sizes on the top. A good seamstress can do wonders for any dress, and it's the top part that most of the alterations take place. The bottom part just gets hemmed. Now if you were gaining weight that would be a problem, because they only have about an inch to let out. But they can take it in as much as needed.
Have you talked to anyone where you ordered the dress from? If I were you I would talk to a person from the dress shop or the seamstress that works there to get their opinon.

Okay so when I got engaged I was excited and went out found a dress and ordered it thinking they can make the alterations. Well now that I have been doing sparkpeople for awhile I've lost some weight. I also made some significant lifestyle changes. Now my dress doesnt come in for a couple more months, but I went shopping finally and started getting scared. I have gone down an entire dress size which is great, But on top in tailored clothes I have dropped 2 sizes and only 1 on the bottom. Now I still have some weight to lose and I am going to continue these lifestyle changes. Doesnt most of the alterations have to do with the top part of the dress anyway and not the bottom? I mean how much can they really alter I am starting to get a little nervous.
