I agree with everything that's been said here. I lost inches before I lost pounds and now I'm losing both and/or either one each week. It did take me a couple weeks before the pounds caught up with the inches.
Hang in there, you'll see the results. Just takes time, which is frustrating!

| You cannot look at just the scale alone...you really need your measurements. In the past month I have only lost 5 pounds but I have lost a total of 7 or more inches on my body!

| Jewls, I know you can do this! I actually weigh myself often, it keeps me on track. Everyone is different, and the scale will eventually get its act together! LOL. Keep your chin up, I know it can be frustrating.

| Whenever I take my measurements I get two, three different results. Do you measure yourselves or does someone do it for you? I am obviously putting the measuring band in different places each time. Any tips?

| Part of spark is taking your measurements, too. So, look at that and chart your losses there :) I'd rather weigh a little more and look better than visa versa!

| Susanna- THANKS!!! I know I have to keep going with what I'm doing I'm just one of those people who like instant results but unfortunately in weight loss that is not the case or the healthy way to do it. I'm sticking to it and I'm sure I'll post again next month with a weight loss victory!

| Jewls- Don't worry! You'll see that scale budge soon. Seriously...it just takes a little while. Think of the muscle you're gaining...your doing great! Keep up your motivation and the scale will start to move soon! We're all here for you.

| Thank you guys for your encouragement. I would rather look nice and fit in clothes then go by what the scale says. I will continue to stay motivated and hopefully at some point the scale will catch up!

The same thing kind of happened to me. I was working my butt off, following everything to the letter and beyond, and when I finally stepped on the scale, it showed I had gained a pound. I was bummed, but that night I was looking for a special occasion dress. I had tried on a dress that I flipped over a few weeks earlier, but at that time the dress would not zip by a good 3 inches. I was at the same store the same day I weighed myself, and couldn't resist trying on the dress again. I was stunned when it zipped. That made me start taking measurements, and sure enough, inches were dropping while the scale remained stubborn. At least I knew something was improving! Finally, after about 3 1/2 weeks, the scale dropped 2 1/2 pounds. At least for me, it is taking the scale a little while to catch up to the rest of my body. So listen to the part of you that notices your better fitting clothes, increased energy, compliments of others. The scale is just one factor, and not always an accurate one at that. Also, where you are in your monthly cycle can make the scale not be an accurate reflection.
Good Luck

| You are probably gaining muscle while losing fat. Remember muscle weighs more than fat, so it is not uncommon for your weight not to change or to go up some when you are working out. Don't depend on the scale. Look at your measurements, and if that is not helping, your gym or doctor can measure your fat percents and you will see changes. And pay attention to what others say, you are your worst critic. Keep your chin up!!!

| So I have been exercising and eating healthy, drinking my water for 2 weeks now and I finally mustered up enough confidence to step on the scale but to my disappointment have not lost anything. I feel better, my clothes fit a bit better and some of my clients have asked me if I am losing weight but the damn scale hasn't moved... does it take more then 2 weeks to kick in to lose some pounds??
