| Hi all -- I ordered Grace Lynette. Has anyone tried that one on? I just saw pictures of myself in it that one of my bridesmaid's took and hated it on me!!! I'm really upset. I fell in love with it at the shop -- it has so much more detail and sparkle than the pictures! I felt beautiful in it at the store but after seeing those pictures I feel I look really fat and the dress is plain. I'm really nervous that when it comes in I'll really hate it. Do I try and order another dress? Everyone says that it will look so different in white and that the pictures didn't do it justice but I'm really nervous.

I got the Maggie Julie Ann- I LOVE IT! It's so flowy! Should be here in one month!!
I'm 5'1" and about 125 and they ordered me an 8 too!! It also has a corset back so I guess I'm good either way- I'm hoping to lose 10 lbs before the wedding! 4 more months!
My Maggie was only $502 WITH alterations! I had found the SAME dress for $200 more at another shop! These guys hooked me up!

| Mine was $700...who knows what alterations will run...but since it's a corset back, it should just be some length.

| Mine was 500$ or so, then 550$ after alterations. And yes, I kept the sleeves, but I just tried it on with the sleeves today and I'm not sure if I like them or not. When I go back for my next fitting I'll know for sure.

I think I got a good deal. Mine was $489 and I paid only $190 for alterations. Total with tax was $708!
edited b/c I really can't add. My calculator was in some really weird mode!

| well i am 5'5 1/2 and have a pretty small waist for my weight. i guess that's why. I don't know. It doesn't seem to make sense considering I have a large chest but that's what size I fit into in three Maggie's so...I guess thats my size.

| I got a Rebecca too, it was the first I tried on... and the only one I tried on. It was just too perfect, I didn't want anything else. However, I feel really short in it, but I guess that's what happens when you are 5'2"! I'm wearing some really cute slip-on Sketchers underneath mine, which won't make me any taller but oh well. I was 135 or so when I tried mine on and they gave me a size ten and had me try on another Maggie in that size to make sure that it fit, so I don't know how you got away with an 8! The corset back is great though, gives you a bit of leniency if you do lose or gain.

| I'm not worried about it being too tight but too big....i dont think i'll have to worry since i never lose my chest and thats mostly how they are measured, right?

| You look so gorgeous!!! and you gown is beautiful! You really think mine is nice? I feel like everyone I have shown has been unenthusiastic about it. Maybe I'm just being paranoid...lol. Yours is soo nice though.... Love it! You look so thin in it too.

My name is Carrie! I should have gotten that gown! Haha -- no but really, it's gorgeous, I just looked up a picture of it.
I think you'll be fine. Keep losing weight, keep toning, and if you make it into the 130's I think you'll be fine. The corset back is very forgiving!

I ordered a Maggie dress also. I ordered the Capri. It was the first dress I tried on (I did try on more after but that one won me over).
The corset back will make a big difference especially if you want it smaller or bigger.

I'm more like a size 16. I'm 175, 5'8". That's awesome...you shouldn't have too much trouble with alterations, but it really depends on where you lose the weight. Thirty lbs is quite a bit...so, you might need some. Good luck! I haven't bought my dress yet, but am in love with Maggie's Dion and Chandra. :) I love most of her dresses, so I'm a maggie bride-to-be.

Yes I was measured for that size. The sample gown that was there was an 8 and fit almost perfectly.
I got Carrie. Rebecca is also gorgeous!

Wow, you ordered an 8?? Were you measured for that size?
I think you should be fine b/c of the corset back. Personally, though, I weighed 165 and ordered a 14. Now that I'm down to 146, the seamstress says I could have gotten away with a 12 -- but I don't know if I could have fit an 8, even now.
I too am striving to get down to 130!
Which Maggie did you get? Mine's Rebecca!

| I need your advice. When I weighed 157, I ordered a Maggie Sottero size 8 with a corset back. If I lose down to 130 by my wedding, do you think I'll need alterations? Anyone have a problem with this even with a corset back?
