My fiance took me on a surprise weekend trip for our four-year anniversary. He didn't tell me where we were going, but when we got there it was my favorite place. We had a great hotel room that led right out to the beach overlooking the water (although we couldn't swim - it was November in Michigan!) The next morning we drove to a scenic overlook to look at the bridge and while we were standing there he asked me to marry him. I was completely surprised because he had told me the ring was still being sized! He was very sneaky.

DF and I have been together almost four years and after 2 1/2 years of long-distance travel (NY-Orlando) I broke down, packed my bags, and gave up my NY-skyline view apartment and bachelorette lifestyle to move to sunny Florida. There was no question whether he was worth the risk, and we've been enjoying living together very much. We've been talking around marriage for a while- there's no question that we're both in this for the long haul, but no dates had been set.
Well, two weeks ago Drew asked if we wanted to go out to the Melting Pot, since we hadn't been out for a nice dinner in a while. I thought that was a great idea, so the next day after work I shuffled my errands to Friday and we hustled over for a 6 pm reservation. I was suspicious, but it was just a nice mid-week treat- the food was tasty and there was much of it! After we got home, however, Drew shuffled me to the sofa, sat me down and said "Stay here!" I made some quip that someone was being suspicious so he dramatically tiptoed from the room and came back with something hidden behind his back. Mischevious imp that he is, he got down on one knee, presented the ring, and asked me if I would marry him. I seem to remember throwing myself at him and prattling gleefully before I realised that I hadn't actually said "yes" yet, and then said it several times. We were both quite giddy and there was much cuddling and kissing on the floor which puzzled the cats.
I was vaguely aware that he had been preoccupied- now I know why! He had special-ordered a custom ring, and there was some problem with delivery. We're not a very traditional couple and I have no interest in diamonds, so he'd had a titanium band ring engraved and enameled with 7 matese crosses. While the proposal wasn't a surprise, the ring was and I'm completely delighted! No date yet, but we're having fun brainstorming ideas. :}

It was approaching Christmas & as I have 5 children i asked my boyfriend if we could have a $20 limit on our presents for each other. Considering he was a big spender I thought this would be a hard task for him to hold to. We bothe decided to combine money to give the children a Christmas they would never forget. Christmas morning came & went as perfect as we had planned it to be, all the children had opened thier presents so it was just my boyfriend & I left to exchange gifts. I was waiting for my ritual dolphin jewlwery or figureine as I collect them but instead he gives me a big moving box. he was behind me the whole time so I opened the box & slowly a big helium dolphin balloon starts floating out & attached to it was a piece of ribbon & a little card on the bottom of that reading " Marry Me " I then turned around with a stunned look on my face & there he was on his knee with the most beautiful ring I have ever seen. It took me about 5 mins before I could say yes as the most perfect proposal left me breathless.

love all these stories, brings a tear to my eye and a giggle to my lips..
My fiance and I met each other through our involvement in the burning man festival and the related community in Seattle. We'd been talking about getting married for a little bit and hade gone to look at rings. This year at Burning Man, at the end of the week, on Saturday night after they burned the man, he suggested we go out for a walk in the desert. We walked for a little bit and then he said he needed to get something out of his back pack, I am spacing out and looking at all the lights back in the "city" and when I turn around he is on one knee with a box in his hand. He asked me to be his wife and of course I said yes. He caught me completely by surprise, it was awesome.
After our walk, he went to bed and I ran around all night showing everyone who would sit still the ring, lol..
I was presenting a poster on the research I had been doing on some cancer cells at the student research symposium at my university. The school was *smart* and only had lemonaide or coffee for us to drink. I knew I was going to have to be speaking to people for a couple of hours and this would not suffice. I of course didn't have any money on me to get some water. I knew my fiance would be coming to see my poster in a little bit, so I called him and asked if he would bring me a bottle of water for me when he came. He said he would. Anyways, he came and made me go through my whole poster for him. When I was finished, he asked if I wanted my bottle of water. I said sure. He kneeled down on the floor to get the bottle out of his bad and said that I could have it but there was a string attached. He pulled out the bottle with the ring attached to it with a string and asked me to marry him. I was pretty much in shock, because I wasn't expecting anything. I knew he had ordered a ring, but this was april and I was expecting it maybe June or July... He had gotten the ring in much earlier than he was even expecting. I nodded my head and gave a squeaking "uh-huh" :-D - 15 minutes later I had to be reminded what had happened because I didn't remember - I was so shocked!

On June 22, 2007 my fiance and I went to St. Louis MO to see Phantom of the Opera at the Fox Theatre (one of our favorite plays!). We went to my aunt's house (his co-conspirator) to get ready, we got all dressed up, and went with my aunt and uncle to Old Spagetti Factory (one of the neatest restaurants in STL). I noticed all night that he was being really quiet and couldn't figure out if he just wasn't excited- but he is a quiet guy so I just let it pass. After we ate we realized that it had started raining- not a horrible storm or anything just a light, soft, summer rain. I began to notice that the 3 of them were acting sort of antsy but again just let it pass. After dinner we drove to the Arch, and found the only covered carriage that was running. I thought that was my surprise- I had told him before that I thought they were so romantic and wanted to ride one, but didn't think we were going to. We got on the carriage, and he gave me a poem/letter he had written about how he was going to take care of me once again I thought that was my surprise... then he got down on one knee (yes in the carriage). And asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes and we're now getting married on June 23, 2007.

My fiance and I decided to go on a cruise over my spring break because I was really stressed out. I am a full time nursing student working a full time job and my family life was going haywire. It was a 7 day cruise that went to the bahamas and florida. On the second to last night he took me to the back of the ship and pulled to chairs up to side of the deck. It was pitch black outside, no one else was out there, and all I could see was the water and the stars. We just sat there talking and a kissed him. While I was kissing him he moved from his chair to down on one knee in front of me. He then proceeded to tell me that he could not imagine spending one day of his life with out me and wanted me to spend the rest of my life with him. Then he asked me to marry him. He had the ring sitting in the box on my knee. It was soo sweet.

My fiance and I are weirdos.
You see, we went to a university where the squirrels had positively diabolical looks on their little faces, and Tom was telling me how he knew they had plans to take over the world and I told him exactly how they planned to do it. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him right then and there, three weeks into our relationship. No ring or anything, just utterly spontaneous but completely serious at the same time. My ring came a month later but I didn't care. Having the ring with him at the time would have been too planned for me anyway.
We were supposed to marry on Memorial Day Weekend of 2005, however in December of 2004 my fiance was diagnosed with lupus and had to stay at home for treatments for a year and a half. This canceled our wedding plans, and now that his treatments are finally over he is trying to get back working and supporting himself again before we marry, which will probably be as spontaneous as our engagement.

The night Jeremy asked me to marry him was completely without glamour, but not without romance.
To preface things a little: we both work at a seasonal Renaissance festival. For 4 months of the year (Feb-May) we give up our weekends to immerse ourselves in a recreation of 1533 England (sort of, but I digress). We met there, at Scarborough Faire, in January of 2004. Fast forward to May 1, 2005. We’ve been dating for almost a year. My parents (who at the time lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I grew up) were visiting for the weekend. That was to be the first time they’d seen me “in character.” Now, my big brother & his wife are also on cast with us. That becomes important later.
So, we work outside in the Texas weather (rain, shine, heat & humidity) all day long. From about 8:30 am to 9:30 or 10 at night, in funny clothes, pretending to be people from the past. As you can imagine, this is an exhausting experience. So, Sunday night, after a very full weekend, my fiancé, my roommate (also a cast member) and I are making the hour drive home. As a sort of end-of-day tradition, we ask one another a series of questions.
What was the high point of your day? My roommate and I both respond, then turn to Jeremy, who says, “Well the highlight of my day was….oh, wait. I can’t say that. I’ll tell you later.” I gave him a quizzical look, but figuring that maybe it was a private sort of thing, I’d wait until my roommate was out of the car and ask again. We moved on to the next question.
What was the low point of your day? Again, my roommate and I answer and wait for Jeremy. Who says, “Well, I guess it was…oh, I shouldn’t say that either. I promise, I’ll tell you later.” Another quizzical look. Moving on to the next question.
What did you learn today? As you can probably guess, it was a repeat of the first two questions. Luckily, we were almost home, so my quizzical look didn’t last too long.
We get home. My roommate grabs her things and heads to her car. Jeremy and I are standing in the parking lot. I notice that there’s a full moon. The flowers he’d bought me earlier are clutched in my hand. Jeremy comes to stand next to me and reaches for my hand. At which point I not-so-subtly expressed my sincere desire to use the bathroom as soon as possible. (Hey, we have to drink a lot of water to battle the heat, and it was a long car ride home!)
Inside the house, as soon as necessities are taken care of, I turn to Jeremy and begin asking the questions again. What were these mysterious things that he couldn’t tell Paula about? He sighs and says that to properly explain he needs a prop. (In retrospect, I should have expected this. But no, I was completely clueless). I said, “Ok then, why don’t you meet me at my car.” See, we were on our way to go have a late dinner with my parents, my brother & his wife, and I had volunteered to drive, since he drove the long way home.
As you can imagine, he looked at me somewhat aghast, but said ok. So I’m sitting in my car, waiting. He climbs in and before I can start the car he grabs my hand. He explains that the low point of his day was spending the day trying to find my parents so he could speak with them, and the high point was talking to my father and asking his blessing on marrying me. I smiled and blushed, but we’d talked about this, so it wasn’t a big surprise. Then he said that he wanted me to be his wife. I nodded and smiled and said, “I know.” Because I did! We’d talked about marriage; we knew we wanted to get married someday, to each other even. We were just waiting for the time to be right. And he didn’t ask a question, so I didn’t think it was the proposal. Then he took my hand and placed a black velvet box in it, and said perhaps the most unromantic words ever. “No, seriously.”
But it was perfect. The light bulb clicked on and I started to cry. There was hugging and a kiss that said yes. I think I actually said, “okay.” Then I asked if I could open the box. He’d had the ring custom designed by a friend of ours who is a jeweler. (Pictures on my SparkPage too).
What he learned that day: The worst place in the world to be is with someone else’s’ engagement ring stuck on your finger! He’d shown the ring to my brother’s wife, and she’d tried the ring on… oops! Luckily it came off all right, and she & I both agree it looks better on me!

Disneyland is our absolute favorite place to be! When we first started dating, we found out that one of the things we had in common was our love for Disneyland. So, it made sense that our first vacation together was to Disneyland! Well, for our second vacation, we went back and it was during the 45th anniversary celebration. We took our picture in front of Sleeping Beauty's castle and we made a deal that trip that if we were still together in 2005 for the 50th celebration, we would take another picture in front of the castle to update it.
We went to Disneyland the Sunday before Christmas because he wanted to update our christmas picture, get our 50th anniversary picture in front of the castle and also because he wanted to see Disneyland all decked out in the christmas decorations. So, we drove up from San Diego, walked into the park and took our new christmas picture in front of the big christmas tree they have on Main Street. After the picture, we walk down Main Street towards the castle and as we get closer to the castle we see this HUGE crowd of people. Before I can even say, what is going on, we look and see Mickey is climbing the Matterhorn. So, we waited about 20 minutes for Mickey to climb up the mountain and to give time for the crowd that had formed to clear so it wasn't insane in front of the castle. During all of this, Nick is just completely annoyed and flustered and I had no idea why. We walk over to the castle and start to pose for pictures. After we had taken two pictures, the cast member wanted us to put our hands together so they can put Tinkerbell in the picture. Nick stops him and says, "There is something I have to do first" and the next thing I know, he is pulling a black velvet box out of his pocket and is dropping to one knee. Of course, I start crying instantaneously and say, " Are you kidding me!!!!" and all I can see is this ring just sparkle. I was in utter disbelief. I have no idea what he said and even if he did ask me to marry him but I finally said, "are you going to put the ring on my finger?" His answer was, "yes, as soon as you take your promise ring off of your left hand!" As it turns out, everyone in his family and my parents, brother and girlfriend all had known since Thanksgiving this was going to happen and nobody told me. But, if I had known, the proposal wouldn't have been as great as it was!!

My fiance, Stan took me to my favorite restaurant (The Keg). Beforehand, he had arranged for a dozen blue roses to be sitting on the table for me (blue roses are my favorite flowers). After dinner, he got down on one knee and proposed to me. While he was doing this, I could hear girls around me going , "ahhhh". After that, the supervisor of the restaurant asked if it was good news. I said ,"yes". Then she brought us free champagne. He did this all on my 28th birthday. We will be getting married July 7, 2007

Randy and I had actually been talking about "the wedding" for 6 months before he proposed. When I was married the first time we just sort of drifted into marriage with no formal proposal. I told Randy that this time I wanted the whole ball of wax...one knee and everything. We knew we wanted a Christmas Wedding...Christmas Eve to be exact. So last Christmas (2005) we had Christmas Eve with my kids and grandkids and had a great time. Christmas morning we were alone...we opened gifts and when we were done, Randy got on one knee and asked me to be his wife the following Christmas Eve. He had picked out the ring all by himself and when he slipped it on my finger, I just loved it. So then the plans became official and we will be married on Christmas Eve 2006.

Hi everyone! I just love to read the proposal stories too--so cute!
JOTRKMOMMY, what a sweet idea about getting the rings made from the same piece of platinum--and one for DD too! :)
Well, here's my story:
Adam and I celebrated our 3-year anniversary in January of this year, and as his gift to me, he gave me a box and all that was in it was maps he had printed from Mapquest. I was so confused, until he pointed out that they were maps to jewelry stores! His gift to me was to go ring shopping--not to pick out a ring, just to give him an idea of what I like. He figured this is something I'll be wearing for the rest of my life, I might as well love it! He said that he had 2 years to propose to me after then. So, I found a style that I liked (estate/antique look).
I figured it would be a while before he asked me, considering he had 2 years to do it. So, on June 2 (about a month ago!) I was talking to my mom on the phone and she goes, "Oh, Adam is walking up the driveway! Here, I'll give him the phone." I guess he mouthed NO and gave her a look, and she suddenly realized what was going on and said, "Oh, it wasn't Adam. It was someone else. Those guys with crew cuts all look the same. I have to go now." I thought it was weird, but didn't suspect anything.
So, about an hour later he arrived at my apartment and I didn't really suspect anything, so I didn't ask him if he went to my parent's house or not. We were getting ready to go out with my friends that night, and he said he wanted to take a quick nap. So, after I got ready I went into my room to get some jewelry to wear from a large soft-sided case I have (my side job is to sell Premier Designs jewelry, so I have a big case to carry it all) and he asked if he could see my jewelry. So, I pulled all of the trays out and showed him my pieces. He pointed to one tray that had ring boxes in it and said, "What are these?" I thought they were empty, so I said, "Oh, they don't have anything in them." He picked one of the boxes up and opened it and it had a ring in it--one of my rings. So, without realizing what was going on, I said, "Let's play a game and take turns picking boxes and see who gets the most!" So, we went back and forth and it was my turn to pick with 2 boxes left. (He later said he couldn't remember which box the engagement ring was in!) I picked an empty one, and then he picked the last one and opened it towards himself and said, "This one has a ring in it!" and turned it around, got on his knee and asked me to marry him! He later told me that he'd had the ring since March, and was just waiting for the right time to do it. :) There are pictures of the ring and my dress on my Sparkpage.

These are great stories! I love reading them, however I do not have one to add ... yet! My guy and I are already planning our wedding, many of you have seen me around on the boards ... but I don't have a ring yet.
I have a two year old from my first (mistake) marriage, and we are planning to design our own rings. However, they will be made all from one block of metal (most likely platinum, if we can get it), and there will be two for me, one for him ... and one for my daughter. So we aren't quite official yet I guess. But I definitely hope he is looking to give me a story to tell ...

This is such a romantic idea that I thought I would add our story too. Tracy and I meet through friends about 6 years ago. We both had been through really bad divorces so neither one of us were ready for marrage. He has a 13 year old son and I have an 11 year old son and we also have a beautiful 2 year old son, so we are very busy people. Every year in the fall Tracy goes deer hunting with a bunch of guys for a week. Last October he went to Eastern Oregon. When he came home he was standing in the garage with his hunting gear on and smelling because he had not showered in a week. I walked out to him to welcome him home and he started crying telling me he missed me and wanted me to always be with him forever and asked me to marry him. He got down on knee and held my hand, since he had not planned on asking me, he had not pick out a ring. I was surprised because we had never really talked about getting married, but that was the happest moment of my life. I did get a ring a few weeks later, which was good because we both could check them out together before we purchased. But once I got the ring on my finger I stared telling all of our family and friends. Wedding date July 15, 2006

SORRY THIS IS SO LONG!!
Karl and I had been doing the long distance thing (Mexico City and Austin, TX)for about two years and we had already discussed the subject. We knew we definitely wanted to get married but I still have to finish college. He always said that when I had an idea of when I'd graduate we'd start looking into it.
It all happened on a family trip. I was out for the weekend with my parents and my sister. We were set to meet some family friends at this little cottage villa in a forest type setting. So after a 5 hour drive and my dad inexplicably giggling the whole way there, we arrived. Someone asked me to check the cabin next door to see pick which we would stay in. I looked into a room and saw someone's feet peeping out... I honestly thought I was in the wrong cabin and ran out of there. Once I was out, I heard the door open and I figured it was the (very angry) owner... but no. I was Karl, just standing there and smiling. I knew then that he was going to propose. But the surpise was too much to bear. I think I started crying right away. He took me into the cabin, got down on one knee and proposed.
There were a lot of tell-tale signs that I failed to notice because, as I said, I didnt expect that to happen for a while:
I mean, he comes to Mexico quite often but we never travel much because he has a busy schedule and is usually tired, so being that far, it was the last place he'd be at.
Also, his bathroomstuff-pouch (whatever you call that) was in there, but I thought someone owned one just like that... Oh and his suitcase was in the living room. DUH.

Mine wasn't romantic by any means...
we had been talking about getting engaged for awhile and I think he was waiting until Valentine's Day to do it and I knew he had been looking for a ring. Well, the weekend before V-Day we were at Sam's Club (LOL) and noticed that they had some REALLY nice jewelry so I was just trying on rings for the heck of it. Well, I found one that I just loved so he said "well do you want to get it?" LOL So we went back the next day and he officially asked me in the car in Sam's parking lot and put it on my finger. We always joke around about how he proposed in the tools section of Sam's LOL It would have been romantic had I wanted to wait but I didn't want to wait LOL

These are so fun to read and I am glad some are long so I don't feel so bad about what I am about to do:
We had been dating about 10 months, which in my mind was not long. I knew we were in this for the long haul, we had moved in together but I had planned to get impatient in about a year. So I was cool.
He apparently was ready. In April 2005, we visited his parents in Palm Beach and he told his mom his intentions. She offered her engagement ring to him. So in May 05, we flew to Vienna, Austria where he was born to see his sister and the same day his parents came up to CT to cat sit for us. When planned to meet at the airport to swap house keys (they stayed at our house, we stayed at thier apt in Vienna). She hands Nico (my fiance) a ziplock bag with the keys, instructions, their international mobile phone and THE RING, which she'd had cleaned. Well me being a control freak, I grab the bag and put it in my carry on. Why I didn't take inventory of the bag, I will never know. Divine intervention.
Two days into our trip, we have dinner with some friends of his at this gorgeous restaurant that is built in the greenhouse of one of the palaces in the city. It was so nice there. It rained terribly while we were in this amazing glass restaurant but it had stopped when we left. We decided to walk home through the palace garden. He was telling me how much his life has changed since he met me and I started crying because it made me think of all the bad relationships I had been through before I met him and how lucky and overwhleming it was to finally be with someone so right.
So now I have done the unthinkable- mentioned the exes. I think he would have proposed right there had I not done that.
We go back to the apartment where he grew up and it is about 2 am. We open a bottle of champagne and sit on the windowsill in the living room. It is pitch black in the apartment and there is light shining in from the courtyard outside. He says, I have a present for you. I have NO IDEA he is going to propose. So he says, this is not the American kind, its more European so if you don't like it, we can get the American kind. Then he goes in his jacket pocket and the courtyard light goes out. There is no light. It looks like the pink Fauchon chocolate boxes. So I think he got me European chocolate. I am so transfixed on why he got me French chocolate when we are in Austria that I don't catch half of what he is saying. But then he says, "I never thought I would do this. Will you marry me." And I have to catch up to speed. I am like, Is that a ring? Did he just say will you marry me? Where is the chocolate?
I just started hugging him and crying and after like a minute he was like, "I am hoping you are going to say yes" and I said Yes of course I will! So we turned on the lights and my ring is the beautiful white gold eternity band of marquis diamonds. It fit perfectly with no fittings and I am so happy his family likes me so much that his mom would give us her ring!
We are getting married June 29 in Mamaroneck, NY for my family and September 8 in Vienna for his family.

My fiance and I got engaged while I went down to South Carolina to visit him because he was graduating from bootcamp for the national guard. The ring that i have right now, is one that has been in the family for years, well his mom and Joey(my fiancee) both told me that he was probably going to propose to me, but I made sure not to get my hopes up. Well, we were hanging out in my hotel room down there and he told me to go grab this light thing out of his pocket on his jacket, well it wasn't in there, but at the same time I pulled the ring box out....But, it didn't look like a ring box to me really, so I didn't want to get my hopes up, but Joey was being really quiet and stuff, so thats when I started to get suspicious. So then I asked him what the box was, and he was like oh something my battle buddies gave me ya know, and he was like you can open it if you want too, so I opened it and I started freaking out. I could not believe that I was getting engaged, so after all the crying and me jumping into his arms, he took the box from me and asked if I would marry him one day, it was so romantic! But, I had to leave South Carolina without him, but he does come home in August, so that will be good! I'm so excited to be able to spend my life with him, because he is my everything and he is truly my rock that keep me strong and stuff!

Hey all. I got engaged on April 8th and it was amazing. Dann and I do theatre together (it's how we met, cast opposite each other) and had a show that weekend. On closing night, after curtain call, Dann stepped to the front of the stage with a microphone he had hidden in his tuxedo jacket (just so happened that was his last costume in the show). He proposed in front of hundrededs of audience members, and gave me a one-of-a-kind ring we'd found in December that I'd thought someone else had bought (nope, it was him). The things he said were beautiful, and I was totally taken aback. To make it even better, almost 50 of my close friends and family had secretly planned to be there, AND the filming crew added the proposal to the end of the the show's DVD. Now we have that moment forever! :)

My Fiance and I are volunteers at a haunted attraction in my hometown. Actually, he is one of the owners. That is where we met. My aunt and uncle are also owners. We had just finished scaring for the night last October, and were having his nightly meeting. My fiance said he had one more announcement for the night. He waited until his best friend got in the room and got down on one knee. All I can remember is that he said something about the best 9 months of his life and I don't remember much else other than saying yes. It was also our 9 month anniversary.

Hello I'm Yvonne and 6 years ago the moment of a lifetime happened. I met Frank. We liked going to this karaoke bar up in Chicago. After weeks of singing our hearts out to each other, we started dating. The most memorable for me was when we went to the Graue Mill in Lyons, IL. There was a walking path there with a waterfall. It was autumn and you could smell the log fires & burning leaves. Pumpkin & Apple spice filled the air. We stopped at the pond to feed the ducks. Just sat there next to each other talking and tossing bread. May not sound like much to some, but it was heaven for me. We got engaged on the shoreline of Lake Michigan. A sunny September day. No one on the beach but Frank, my best friend Vic & Moi... As the sun set over the lake that day we walked out to the main pier. A beautiful setting as you can imagine. Frank got down on one knee, and said "I know that we have only been dating a few weeks, but I know in my heart that you and I are meant to be together so...will you marry me?" After I composed myself I of course said "Yes, I Love you with all my Heart!" BTW we are a 7/7/7/7 couple. The 7th year anniversary of our engagement we are getting married July 7th, 2007.

Hi my name is Caroline and I'm getting married July 22, 2006. My fiance was working in Mexico for a year so I went and lived with him in a small village for a couple of months. The night I arrived we hadn't seen each other in 7 weeks so I was pretty excited, plus I was going to live in Mexico for 2 months! He picked me up and brought me to a beautiful hotel suite with an amzing view. My trip had taken me 14hrs( I had a 10hr wait in NY) so the first thing I wanted to do was take a shower. When I came out there were rose petals EVERYWHERE, 24 yellow roses(my favorite) and a champagne bottle. I figured something was going on. He sat me down, knelt on one knee and said these words exactly...." blabededo..ohh!" It was halarious, but of course I didn't laugh. He tried again and the same sounds came out. He was soooo nervous so I just got up and started saying YES YES YES. Poor guy had a big speech he had written but couldn't say a word of it he was so nervous. I always tease him that he never really asked me to marry him. We went out to a beautiful restaurant on the roof of our hotel in front of a beautiful cathedral. Just our luck that night there were huge fire works as they lite the lights of the cathedral. That was also the night we had scorpions for dinner. It was a beautiful and memerobale night. The sweetest thing is he called my mom and dad a month before to ask for my hand in mariage. I later found out he was just as nervous asking my parents. I'm looking forward to our wedding day and I hope he won't be too nervous and will be able to say "I do".
