I met my honey in the eighth grade. At the time he and his twin brother "liked" me. But there was something special about my honey. Even that young he was a gentleman, polite, sweet and caring. I knew then he was special. Even though we didn't "go together" during that time, I thought about him through the years, wondering how he was and what he was doing. It was the wierdest thing he just stuck out in my mind. Even when I dated other guys, I remember thinking I wish I could meet someone like him (my honey). Then on my second attempt at a stats class in college he was in my class. We met at Barnes and Noble to "study" and ended up talking the whole time. The spark from the eighth grade was still there!!!

Later I found out he asked about me through a mutual friend all the time. We also found out we frequented the same places. But it happend at the right time. Now 5 years later we are planning to marry next month. I guess wishes sometimes do come true!!

Our eyes met across a crowd of many many people as I was walking back to meet up with my friends. As I walked away, I realized I needed to do something. I turned around, dug my business card out of my purse, actually bumped into him and handed him my card. "here." I said. And as he looked down at it he said "thank you." I said "you're welcome" and I ran away!

He called the next morning. We went on our first date two weeks later. We became engaged two years later. Here we go for the rest of our wonderful lives!

John and I met online about 7 years ago. Last year finally admitted I had feelings for him. He said - I wish you had told me a long time ago - and we've been together ever since. We've faced some challenges, some hard times. He's stuck by me no matter what. We have one big challange coming up - which is immigration - since I am Canadian and he is American. Once we are through that - life will be so simple!

I was a freshman in college and my high school boyfriend had recently dumped me. I was not doing too well and had sworn off guys, so one night my friends made me go out with them and I was looking really lovely in a baseball cap! We met in a hallway of his dorm and somehow 8 years later we are getting married! I like to think that if I hadn't had such a bad heartbreak that we would never have met.

I was dating a really crummy guy. Me and him and my best friend, and her boyfriend were all going to go to Moab for spring break. Her boyfriend flaked out, and my boyfriend invited his best friend (Robert). robert had just bought a new truck, and offered t odrive, and we became great friends in that weekend. Eventually I broke up with my crummy boyfirend (he cheated on me), and Robert was there waiting for me. Soulmates.

I was the wee age of 13 and we were on the same team at camp. We didn't meet eachother there however but online after a girl from camp said a boy wanted to talk to me. Little did I know, he saw a picture of me and fell in love with it, and wanted to talk to me. Well, we talked for 5 hours online the first day we talked and from there on we racked up our parent's long distance phone bills. Then on New Year's Eve he came up to visit...(his dad drove him 3 and a half hours in a snowstorm). When I saw him...well read my quote. And now we are at the same college and getting married and I fall in love with him more and more each day. ::::huge grin::::

Another awkward story but ended on a great note!

I dated my fiance's friend and he (my date at the time) introduce his friends to me. A few months later, we broke it off since he was always on drill (army). He decided to avoid my calls and emails so I moved on. 2 years later, I met up with my fiance and a few friends at a bar and we talked. Couple of times we met up with friends until one day he invited me over to his house and had dinner and watched Monday night Football. As they say... the rest is history...

I met my fiancé on Yahoo! Personals. As it turned out, we'd gone to college together and he had had a lot of classes with my brother. We'd been in the same social circles a lot during school and been at a lot of the same events (concerts, clubs, etc) but never met.

I was living with a friend I grew up with in Minneapolis in 1997. My fiance was traveling around the country staying with different friends after graduating from college. We went out with a group of friends and sang karaoke at a bar that night and came hom and played Clue. He called me a couple days later from a pay phone by the Grand Canyon and asked if he could come see me again on his "way home" from FL to VA (um, MN is not exactly on the way). I said no because I wasn't interested in a long distance relationship. We were friends, mostly through e-mail, for three years, and then started dating when I moved back to the East Coast. That was 5 1/2 years ago!

My future husband saw me singing kareoke at large club one night and asked one of the employees (who happened to be a mutual friend to both of us) about me. Unfortunately for my fiance, he was only able to get my name from our friend. since i left early that night he was unable to speak to me. He said one moment I was there and the next I had disappeared. He later told me that he went back to the kareoke bar several times for two weeks to Try to meet me. (He pretty much chased me down.) It wasn't until the third week that he saw me again. We talking all night at the kareoke club and continued over breakfast until almost 5am. That was over five years ago.

I met my fiancee two weeks into my freshman year of college. We were at a dorm party and he was making fun of my Midwest accent. I was tipsy and threw a beer can at him...hit him square in the forehead. I was SO embarassed!! Somehow despite that my fiancee was smitten and hunted me down until I agreed to go out with him. What a lovely story, eh?

My mother introduced us out at the ski-hill where my daughter skis. He had been sitting with my mother and her friends every weekend. (I was at home most of those weekends working on a university course)

Before he met me he actually thought my mother was 'hot'. (I know, ew! But I guess yah! for my mom, who is only 20 years older than me)

Then we ran into each other after work one day. He asked for my number and called me a month later. I said it wasn't a good time, (I was just ending a relationship) but I would call him when it was.

I called him a YEAR later (yes I was scared out of my mind, it took me weeks to get up the courage). Turned out great because he had recently ended a relationship!

Now we live together and are getting married next Feb.

I love all these stories!

I met my fiance when we were 16 at my hometown's "Maple Syrup Festival." He had never been to my tiny town before and was getting a little weirded out by it until he saw me. It'strange how much we've changed since then but we've changed together and we love each other more every year!

Everyone usually thinks our story is weird... I met my fiance while on the coed cheerleading team in college... he was the men's cheer coach! Then later we found out that his best friend in high school was the older brother of my friend in middle school. We had actually been at the same birthday parties and stuff years before we actually "met".

Oh, this is a good one!

Back in November of 2004, I decided I needed a second job to help make ends meet. I found a listing online for a job doing online sales and "admin" for a local comic shop, Space Cat, so I sent in an application. I got the job and worked there afternoons and evenings.

Chris is a regular customer of Space Cat, so he saw me there. He thought I was attractive, and liked my smile (and other things). He is good friends with the manager of the store, Mike, so he would ask about me, and wonder if he should ask me out.

Because my "first" job is at a print shop, I have access to professional cutting equipment. Mike publishes comics as well, and he asked if I would do some edge trimming on some books for him. I did, and it turned out that some of the books were books that Chris had done. So Chris asked me out to dinner to thank me for the favor, and the rest is history!
