| Soda. I grew up in NH and we say "soda". My boss was from MA. and he called it "tonic".

GeeGeeLand is right. We say a lot of weird stuff in Louisiana...like "nutra ground" for the median (the ground between two lanes of traffic).

In Louisiana we say coke! No matter if it's a coke, pepsi, or anything.
"Anyone want a coke?"

Here in SC, We ask "Do you want a Coke?" ...then you ask what kind? The answer is Coke, Pepsi, Sprite or Dr. Pepper or 7-Up, etc.
I know this is weird....

| I say soda, and the rest of Michigan says pop. Maybe its because I don't drink it and my family is from the South? I don't know.
