| It took me a while to get comfortable at the gym, but what finally clicked was the thought that I'm not there to impress them, or to look good for them. I don't care what they think about me. Plus, they probably realize that the reason we're there is (like everyone) to try to improve. Can't fault anyone for that! :)

| You should see if there is a community gym that offers a weight training class, or a machine orientation. Knowing how the machines work and how to adjust them gave me a lot more confidence. I still hate using the wieght machines at the gym when the sweaty guys are there, but now it's just because they don't wipe off the machines after they are done with them.

| i seriously need to get my butt in gear to start up with the toning/weights that i *should* be doing. i seem to always 'skip' that when i am in the gym.. i just hate being the only pudgy girl trying to use the weight machines infront of a ton of buff muscle head guys.

| You should check out the Buff Brides book...it has a workout routine you can do at home that helps tone up your arms and legs...I got mine at Barnes and Noble...

So, I've got about 6+ months to go here, and I am seriously trying to get my butt off the ground!
Trying on dresses can be a little depressing, and in two weeks, I go out of town to buy my dress. Eeeeek! My goal is to lose at least 4 lbs by then. It's gonna take a lot of discipline, but where there's a will, there's a way!
