Losing inches but not pounds

I feel the same way! I hope some pounds will go away, but I feel like the inches make more of a difference in my appearance, and if it's muscle instead of fat, great - all the healthier! My scale didn't budge much at first, but then I noticed my jeans were a little looser, so that's just fine with me.

I've been yo-yoing the last week, but I know it's probably more because I've skipped two gym days in the last week and a half, and I've had a couple nights when I overdid it on dinner. I really need to get a measuring tape and start measuring.

I can tell my arms are skinnier - I was putting lotion on last night and they just looked so much thinner than they used to. Good thing, too, because my dress is strapless and I want my arms to look good!

I'm so glad to know that others are struggling in the same way I am. My scale hasn't moved in almost 3 weeks, but I am continuing to lose inches. Unfortunately, I'm still not noticing my clothes fitting any better! My belt just closes at the next notch over.

I'm waiting for my body to click!

See I feel the same way as all of you! I want to lose inches more then the 25 lbs. I want to lose. I want to tone up and get in shape to look good in my dress and on my honeymoon!

I am so with you girlie! I know my dress fits but I want to see if I can get it altered in a bit. I have to leave some room for my back brace but other than that... c'mon inches, FALL!

All I'm looking to do is drop inches! I could care less what the number on the scale is just as long as I can get my big hips into that dress. LOL

Thanks Natalie!

All my hard work is starting to pay off...the scale is slowly going down!

I find it more rewarding when I loose inches. Even though my weight will go up about 5 pounds from morning to night, the inches don't change. Plus, the inches lost are what will make you look better in that dress. Part of it is also the muscle turning into fat. The muscle weighs more but takes up less room. So, your weight may not change a ton, but you will be skinner. No matter what, we will all be beautiful brides!

I have come to grips with the scale. I am feeling better about how I look and can envision myself in August. Its true it takes both mind and body to do this! WOOHOO!

I'm not losing tons of weight each week, but have gone down in inches. I think I'd rather go down more inches than pounds, but it can be so frustrating when yuou get on the scale and there's no change!

For some people, they lose pounds and inches at the same time. For others, it's pounds first and then inches or vice versa. In the end, though, you'll lose both at once.

I am like you, right now I am losing inches but not so many pounds. The upside to this, however, is that you're still losing something! And at least in my experience my clothes fit a whole lot better with lost inches, even if the pounds aren't going as quickly.

Eventually, the pounds will start to come off. It's just a matter of how your body goes about losing inches vs. pounds.

I hope this helps. Stick with it, you're doing great :)

How frustrating is it that you are doing everything right but the weight just wont come off. The only plus side (and a big plus at that) is that I have lost some inches. Everyone keeps telling me to hold in there that my body will click one day.
