| We got the engagment ring and wedding band at the same time. My band is smooth on the back and has channel set diamonds on the front and it looks fine.

| Well that's what I looked at and it looks beautiful if it doesn't spin. My mom only wears her wedding band because she says that it gets annoying when the engagement ring snags on everything and when you have a baby it might scratch her. But my fiance says he would be so mad if I didn't wear it forever with the wedding band. So I see both sides. What do you think?

KG - you could get the two soldered together, that way, they both would spin around together and would probably be easier to keep both at least facing the same direction!
I'll probably get a band with small diamonds just on the "top" half - the side that shows. We're not shopping for bands until about June, so I'm not really sure yet.

| I really want a wedding band with diamonds all around but my future mother in law told me the diamonds on the inside will get really worn and fall out. Should I get the one with diamonds halfway? It is a lot cheaper! But my ring now slides around on my finger sometimes (depending on the time of the month (: ) so I'm afraid that one will do the same thing and not look good. Any opinions??

| Pick up a cheap ring at a department store and tell everyone it is the "loner" from the jewelry store. That's what a friend of mine did. She even got something close to her real ring.

My ring size has dropped quite a bit from the last time we had me sized, back in November. I can't wait for the day I can wear both my grandmother's and great-grandmother's rings.
I think I will be waiting until well into April before the ring sits on my finger. ;-) He hasn't technically proposed yet, either. Just bought the ring. So I'm not sure if he's planning a traditional proposal or not, but I am definitely impatient.
heh.

Ceracobbler -
I am beginning to notice that my ring is looser than it once was! It still fits, but I'm thinking a few more pounds, and I might need to get that baby resized!

| When FI proposed to me, it was fairly unplanned - he didn't even have a ring! We went shopping the next day and picked out a three-stone right, diamond in the middle and sapphires on the sides. We're going to get a contour band for my wedding band, probably in June. When we picked it out, I only had to wait one day for it to be sized. :)

| I know how you feel. We picked out the rings and paid for them in December. We picked them up in January and still, I didn't have my ring. I had to wait til he was ready to propose...but it was so worth it.

So we made the purchase...on March 5th. I have to wait until at least the 27th before it will be back from being sized, and Mr. Chickadee leaves on the 31st for a minimum two-week business trip to China! ACK!!!!
I don't wanna wait for my ring!!! I'm so petty but I don't care right now!! It's gorgeous and my finger needs it!!!!
