I was almost cast for Bridezillas 2.

A friend of mine does reality show casting and called me to see if I wanted to be on the show. At the time, I was trying to copy our wedding programs at Kinkos, but the paper kept getting jammed, and I just could see what I'd look like after the editing job...

Well I know I am a bridezilla but maybe not to the extent some of those other brides on that show are. I feel like I have no control over hardly anything because we are doing an out of state wedding. I have 4 mths left and hardly have anything done, but this weekend for the next two weeks I am going to louisiana to get the rest of the stuff booked and finished. Wish me good luck. I need it. I am traveling by myself to visit my family also with just my daughter who is only one.

I'm not the super organized bridezilla, but I'm the one who gets mad easily.
I purchased over 1 grand of dress & accessories. (Take into mind I'm paying for this wedding myself & my budget is quite low, my dress was the most expensive thing of the wedding.) When I bought the dress they told me they would change the back from zipper to lace up for $50 and do the custom changes as long as I'm making payments on it. I went in yesterday and a different lady I've never dealt with from there was telling me they wouldn't make changes until I paid it completely off. I was PISSED. I freaked out on her & told her I wouldn't finish paying it off until about 3 weeks before my wedding and that wouldn't give her time to make the adjustments, plus I was told I would be able to pick up my dress when I paid for it. I am doing my bridal sitting 2 weeks before my wedding & expect to have my dress done & in hand.

Moral of the story: I have a some bridezilla in me!
I think we all do, though. ;)

I'm super organized with my excel documents and binder, but it's yet to be seen if I will be a true "bridezilla." I guess only time will tell, since the wedding isn't until November.

I'm organized, but don't think I'm a bridezilla. Our wedding is next February and we have almost everything set up to go for it (the closer a thing gets, the more likely I am to avoid doing stuff about it!).

i wouldnt consider myself a bridezilla -- i just know what i want :) .. im just very picky.
i love spread sheets and i love to micromanage but i am that way with everything .. why my wedding would be different i havent a clue.
i always get upset over small details esp if they are completely pointless and childish. :)
but its kinda funny, im totally not stressing over wedding details like i would be with most things in life.

I love spreadsheets!! I hired a wedding planner in January (wedding is in september) She laughed at me when I showed her my big binder of contracts, photos, to-do lists, contact #'s... she said it looked like I only needed her for "day-of" coordination since I have everything else covered. Nice to hear, but I still feel majorly unorganized sometimes. I guess I can be considered a Bridezilla... but my bridesmaids haven't complained yet... all I asked of them was black satin floor length dress and black shoes! I'm more paranoid about vendors and decorations I guess.

I love using spreadsheets. I have everything organized by spreadsheets. But otherwise, the wedding is pretty much on track and if something goes wrong, oh well... that's life!

Ok, I guess I'm half bridezilla, but i have to agree, the spreadsheets help me keep track of the details. I have been very flexible with my bridesmaids and the moms, so maybe it isn't such a bad thing to be a bridezilla about the spreadsheets. lol

I guess according to that list I am a bridezilla. My finance and I have spreadsheet everything...for us it is easier to track all due dates. money, etc. I thought that was just us being anal though.

Im sure that many of you have taken a special interest in wedding shows lately (can be a good source for ideas). I saw one last night that was called 'Bridezillas'. It isnt a new show but it was a show I hadnt watched before. It made me think of brides I have worked with and of course a good long look in the mirror... were any of us "Bridezillas"??!? So I thought I would bring the topic up here.

How many of you are "Bridezillas"?

You may be a bridezilla if...
You micro-manage (spread sheets for EVERYTHING!)
You get upset over the smallest of details
You say or do things that you later think were rather unlike you
You will not accept "outside thoughts" about your wedding (this doesnt include listening with an open mind and then dismissing unusable ideas - this means not listening to the ideas in the first place)

Do you have any other things that you think would qualify someone as a "Bridezilla"? (can be serious or silly we should get to have some fun with it I think)
