Hey all - I don't know if anybody is still reading this since we're all near or past our weddings..

I just wanted to say I'm married too! 2 weeks now, it was amazing, the honeymoon was amazing. So congrats to everybody!

Hey all,
We got married on 9/9/06! It was amazing! We had wedding events starting Friday morning and going through Sunday afternoon! It was so great. My dress was gorgeous- my aunt added the lace, the church was beautiful (built in thr 1700s), the flowers were incredible (thanks to my mom and a florist), the music was great, the minister gave an amazing message, the groom was wonderful (and so cute), and the reception was awesome! It was everything I wanted it to be and more!

I know all of your weddings will be this way too! Enjoy it all and stay as calm as possible. And don't drink so you'll remember it all like we did!

hi all,I'm a Sept 16th bride. I never really tried to lose weight before, until now. The last time I was weighed was 1 year ago. I was 170 lbs, but now I'm 163 still not happy with that though. I guess it really hit me when I bought my dress, I never thought I would ever need a size 16 dress (i know the dress sizes are usually a bit bigger) but that really hurt! then my alterationist even told me i needed to lose 10 lbs! I can't believe how opinionated some people are when you're at their mercy.

Hey guys,
I am hungry during the day but by dinner time I'm not really hungry these days. :) I'm trying to work real hard on my arms these last few weeks. I've been so tired that I haven't felt like running but hopefully I'll have the energy today. :) I can't wait until the week before when I have almost all week off to relax and prepare. Then the wedding and then the honeymoon! HORRAY! I hope you're all doing well.

Thanks.

I've always been a stress eater myself, but find that lately I am SO stressed that I don't want to eat-- not a healthy way to do it, but it is helping me take the pounds off!

Hey ladies,
I'm getting married 9/23/06. It's funny how all the sudden it's almost here. We've been planning for a little over a year and the wedding has always seemed so far away. Now it's almost here and I have so much to do. Unfortunately I think I'm letting the stress get to me because all the sudden I've gained about 10 pounds. But hopefully I can start to calm down and it will come right off.

Good luck to all of you as we get closer to the big days.

Hi,
I've been stressed for the last few weeks! Go ahead and call the guests that are unknown- you need to know if they are coming. My friend had to call 200 people as she invited almost 500. Remember to exercise as it would really help in reducing stress.
And way to go on losing 8 lbs. I'm headed back to the gym today after a nice weekend celebrating my brother's b-day.

SEPT 9th bride here!

Is anyone else starting to really get stressed? My big day is September 2, I still have 50 unknowns on the guest list and am LOSING MY MIND!

I've also lost 8 pounds though, so I guess there is an advantage to all the stres..

Good morning Ladies!~~
Thank goodness for Fridays!

I went to the gym Weds and Thurs. Tonight we're headed to the lake where my family is for the weekend, also where our wedding is, so I need to get in one more workout. At the lake I can also walk and bike so that's good too.

Anyway, I'm going to try and eat good this weekend although we're having yummy lobster tonight for my brother's b-day. Not sure if that's healthy but that's ok. I'm also going to eat a lot of brocolli in the coming weeks. I used to work with a girl that ate brocolli for lunch (cooked in microwave) and she lost a ton of weight.

Well on to another day of exercise!
Everyone have a great weekend!
I'll talk with you Sunday night or Monday morning!

Its amazing how it sneaks up on you! We got engaged over a year ago and I swore i would lose 30 lbs before the wedding. Suddenly it was six weeks out and I was exactly the same size. Now I have my fingers crossed for 10 lbs. Its funny how life catches you by storm!

Hey Ladies,
September 9th bride here! And boy have I been stressed. My poor fiance and mother. They've been so good to me when I've been stressed.

Anyway, I've been slack with the exercise for the last two weeks but no more!! Who wants to join me in the fight for looking our best by working out hard these last few weeks?
Well I started back at the gym yesterday= ran and did arm weights. :) I'm planning to hit the gym at least 5 times each week until the wedding. I want my arms tight like they've always been and I want nice firm muscles.

Anyway, i know we can all do it and I'd love some other brides to help each of us stay motivated!

have a great day ladies!

Another Sept 16 bride here - I'm doing a strapless dress and have 5-10 pounds to go before the big day - I'm hoping to slim down primarily in the face, arms, and back for the pictures and my strapless dress. Any exercise/weight lifting suggestions?

Its funny you say lack of motivation from stress-- normally I am a stress EATER-- I gained fifteen pounds this spring when my mom was in the hospital fighting cancer. Somehow though these last few weeks of wedding planning have me SO stressed out (well, that and work) that I can't eat... I'm planning for September 2 by the way.

Hi, I'm a Sept 16th bride too! Been on the sparkpeople for sometime, but just found this message board! Is everyone getting excited? Any clues how to keep motivated and such when youre under stress. My fiance is away, a have my last exam for my phd is about 24 days, and I'm going nuts. No motivation to study or exercise...oh, well, I guess its just one of those days...

I'm getting married September 24th in South Lake Tahoe, CA. We're having a small wedding with family and friends willing to travel. Two weeks later we are having an at home reception. The honeymoon will be in December.

I have a strapless dress with a small amount of arm wiggle. I don't care. I just need to keep working out regularly, instead of twice a month.

I can't wait for our big day! But I must admit right now I'm enjoying going to other people's weddings...They are so stress free!

I too wound up with a strapless gown and have been battling the "underarm dingle-dangle" as we affectionately call it. No matter what though, I know that on that day, I'm going to be using my arms to hug my friends and family, embrace the love of my life, and dance! I'm confident that however much dingle-dangle remains, the hard work will be in in being able to lift my 3 yr old neice at the end of the night. =)

I too am a September bride! September 16th to be exact! :) I'm getting really really excited for the day to come and can't wait to have it done with. There's been so much planning and preperation it'll be nice to have some time to think about something other than the wedding! LOL. Anyone else feel the same way?

I'm not new to this site, I've been a member for quite sometime but just decided to today that I really need to start actively doing something to help loose my few extra pounds! Wish me luck!

Congrats to all the fellow September brides! Best of luck with the final preperations and good vides your way for a perfect, dream like wedding! :)

Welcome to the group! Arm excercises are something I have not yet embraced under my program. I have it as a goal...but, somehow don't find the time. Better luck to you!

Hello everyone! I am brand new to Spark and am also a September bride. I am pretty excited about it all coming up so soon but it's also scary, especially since my dress hasn't arrived yet and I don't know how it will fit. It's strapless and I have some "wiggle" in my arm to say the least :) haha, well anyway I'd love to chat and it's good to see so many other Sept brides on here too!

I'm technically a September 06 bride- I'm already married but it was a small civil ceremony because we were in another state and most of our family couldn't make it. We are renewing our vows 9/30 in Tarpon Springs, Fl in a very lovely park and I will finally get to wear the beautiful dress I purchased (but i may have to alter it a bit now!!) my colors are dark ivory/champagne, peach and dusty rose pink. I've always wanted a fall wedding!

Congrats everyone!

Those colors sound really nice. My Maid of Honor is going to wear some sort of red-wine color. I wont have any other bride's maids. We're doing an outdoor wedding so I'm not sure how or where we'll use the flowers as decorations yet. I'm making my own boquet using fake flowers, the Maid of Honor's too. I'll use a lot of little white christmas lights and some white paper lanterns to decorate. I'm not sure about what else though.

Our wedding is Spet 16th, but here in N. Texas, the weather could be anything from hot and summery to windy and cool, so I decided to stick to the colors that best fit us: purple for me, sage for him.

We're using white & periwinkle hydrangeas for the pew decorations while most of the attendants will be holding/wearing calla lillies.

Those flower colors sound gorgeous! I think that will work well. What color are your bridesmaids wearing? My bridesmaids are wearing a color called amber rose- a mix between rose and coral. I'm using green hydrangeas and light colored peachy/pink roses. I'll be carrying light pink/peach/ivory/white roses. But I'm early setp so still more summerish!! :)

Hi fellow Sept brides! I'm getting married the 23rd. What flowers are you guys using for the fall-ish weddings? I think I'm going to do mostly dark purples and deep wine-red ones with some rusty orange and red accents and leaves. What do you guys think?

That stinks. But hey, at least you get to feel good about losing weight and fitting into a 12. :)
I'm a 12 below and an 8 up top and my dress is mostly fitted uptop with a slim A-line skirt below so I tried on and ordered an 8. The first time I tried it on once it arrived I was like oh gosh, can i breath!??! It fits perfect now and just like you I'm only getting skinnier! But for a moment i was worried!

CONGRATS on working your way down to a 12. :)
