| Up until yesterday I was walking 2 miles a day and on Sunday I walked 5. The weather is changing here from spring back to winter which puts a damper on walking outside. My treadmill is in one of my son's rooms (basement) and our times are completely different (college student) so I'm not able to get on it much. I'm just going to have to deal with the cold again and walk outside. I am able to lift weights every other day, which at least keeps me active somewhat. I've also started my T'ai Chi Chih again with some coworkers. It is so relaxing. Didn't realize how much I missed it until today. I find it' always more fun and motivating to do exercises with someone else. This is a great site for that. Later

Thanks Willows for the nice welcome. I love Wisconsin we were stationed in Sparta for 3 years and loved the area. Here in Ohio today it was 56 degrees but we had pouring rain and thunderstorms or I would have been outdoors to I did get a small walk in with the dog before the next burst of rain came but more snow and 20 something degrees of weather is coming again this week so I will use my walk tapes again Happy walking sunshine

Did you all know that you can keep track of the vitamins that you have taken in Food Tracker? It's great!! All you do is record it just like you do your food items! Now I can tell how much calcium I am getting during the day! Off to the big city!

Great!! Walkers!!
I started walking mid-January...could hardly do a block. Now, I am up to an hour and sometimes 2. Getting addicted to the feeling. Better that being addicted to sugar, right?
I'd love to join in your accountability group. I'm in St. Pete, Fl, now, "winterizing," but will return home to wild and wonderful West Virginia mid-April.
What do I do? Report mins? Miles?
I do crunches, too. Couldn't find a place to record them every day. Spark sees them as strength training and would only allow me to record them every other day. The more crunches I can do...the better!!
Now, about you?

| can I join the walkers? I walked around the park today. It takes about 20 minutes. I even got out and raked the leaves off of some of my perrinial beds. Gorgeous out there, hung sheets on the line, sat in the sun for awhile and had lunch on the deck. Now it will be in the 30s again all week.(WI).

| Welcome aboard............I don't have a treadmill, but all winter I utilized the garage and walked around the car at a fast pace for 25 minutes..........it works when you want the exercise and weather does not permit.

| Hi, I'm a newbe for this board. I 50 and loving it also. I have exercised on and off for the past 14 years but want to make a regular part of my day. For the past 7 days I've walked 2 miles/day outside, even though we have snow right now. I really enjoy the outdoors, the treadmill for me is tedious. I do use it on the rainy days to keep up with walking. I'm thinking about running, but always get shin-splints. I'm not into the no pain, no gain mind set.

| Hope you are feeling better. I see on your profile, you have hunting dogs. Do you ever just let them run and walk with them(when the pollen is not high)? I live in town, so I envy you the space...

I've been sick, so i havent' done any excercise. I feel better today. Gonna get on the treadmill and try to at least do some. Weather is so good here, 70's, but I'm afraid to get outside. the pollen and stuff is so strong, everyone is allergy sick. Anyway--i vote for the treadmill.

| I am still in the March Madness walking competition with Healthwalkers website and the team I am up against this round is going right with us point for point so far. I did 7.01 miles today. Fortunately tomorrow is an off day before the next competition. Today was a sunny beautiful day for walking here in Ontario. The birds are returning so maybe Spring is just around the corner. Here's hoping.
