Hi, R

The reason transfat isn't trackable right now is that info about the transfat content wasn't required on food labels until this year. Therefore, nutrition data bases won't reflect this change, or be able to automatically track transfat, until the next editions come out. Our data base will be updated to include transfat as soon as the next edition is published by the government.

Hope this helps.

With the buzz about trans fat and knowing such a tiny amount of it can effect your health I'm kind of surprised to find that the food tracker does not container a place to enter or track trans fat.

Sure, ideally we'd all like to be trans fat free, but in the real world there's still many products with trans fat in them. I am so concerned about it as a parent that I write it down on a piece paper to track it for the week. I wish it was built into the Nutrition Tracker and recipe info here though.
