Wow you really do have some major health challenges. The one thing I know is that losing extra weight and being mindful about eating healthy and exercising can improve all your issues.

ALI,Hi there I'm from Quebec Canada. Not really in your neck of the woods. I just wanted to stop by and tell you that if your serious about dropping your pounds you have come to the right place.
Sparks has the most friendly people that are always here to pass on encouragement and to cheer you on.
They will be there for you anytime you need them .
What I found was there are 3 secret ingredients to having success on this diet.Number 1 is TRACK ALL YOUR FOOD. Number 2 DRINK PLENTY OF water EACH DAY.Number 3 GET OUT THERE AND WALK and do any other excerise that you can.
I started my journet on January 9th 2006 and I loved every minute of it.
You say you like to cook so check out the receipes here on the boards and try some out. at the same time you'll be making things with less calories . You can also put them in the food tracker for your next time eating them.
I know you think it's a long journey for you but you will see results with in a month and you will like what you see. So track your food (every bit of it) and drink your water and go for walks and any other excerise you can manage and it will pay off.
You'll be able to go on those search and rescues with no problems.

Hi everyone. I have had Fibro for about 8 years now. I am 54 years old. No one I know really understands how painful it can be. I also have had a broken hip, all the tendons riped off my shoulder, 5 broken ribs,& in Nov. roto-cuff surgery on my other shoulder. Does anyone live way up in N. Minnesota?? It is very isolated up here. I have been here for 5 years now because of my husbands job. Its 120 mile to the nearest Target or Wal-mart. I love horses & dogs. I havn't been able to ride for over a year & now I am kinda afraid of falling off & injury something else. I really hope this diet thing works. Now that its warm I have started to walk. I never had a weight problem until my 40's I am 5'9 & weighed 115 when I was 3 months pregnant!I was around 125-145 until my 40s when they killed my thyroid & I started gaining. I love to cook so dieting is really hard. Why is there no coffee on the start diet?? I have to have a couple mugs in the morning. I don't drink pop anymore, mostly crystal light or propel. Well that's it for now, hope someone lives close, hahaha. Oh yea I do search & rescue work for the Sheriffs Dept.& I am with the Volunteer Fire Dept., even though I push my self on a search I come home & cry sometimes because I am hurting so much.
