I've read your message and I want to say that I work out sometimes in front of my tv as well. Sometimes that help the time go faster and before you know it, you've gotten a great work out!

Yes, joining a gym will get you motivated. I joined a gym a while ago and it helped me a lot, especially with discipline. I made time to go early in the morning when I got off work. It is definately a wonderful feeling.

This is a tough one, I just fell off the exercise wagon for the past week. My body wants to move now, but I have so much other stuff to do and if I'm honest with myself nothing will get done at all if I don't work out.

During the summer I like getting out on my bike and pushing ahead of people more in shape than I am when possible.

One little motivator that I try to remember is from Jane Fonda's workout book from the 80's. Jane hated working out and had to push herself too, but she would try to remember how good she felt afterward. Now that I reminded myself about this I think I'll get dressed and take a walk. It's 51 degrees out and I need to take advantage of this weather bonus in normally frigid March.

I know what you mean! I found kickboxing class a great fat burner and not so complicated and fun. I've tried the videos but tehy don't seem to do it for me.

I enjoy walking with a friend. walking alone, even listening to get up n go music, just isn't as much fun or motivating.
I also find that walking with a friend, time flies!

Can't say that I've found anything that helps make workin out on my elliptical or ablounge any fun though:P lol

I love to swim. But I haven't really ventured into strength training yet. AM signed up to take a class in about 2 weeks. I am looking forward to trying something new. Andam joining a gym so hopefully that will get me motivated.

Do you belong to a gym? No matter what exersise I do I vary how I do it! In addition I dont use the same form of cardio two days in a row. I am also open to working out with others, they add something new to what I do!

I find if I keep on changing what I am doing I can keep myself motivated. I have a couple different videos (kickboxing type, interval training, pilates, bellydancing, stepping, and a walking one). Switching them up gives variety, different intensity & length. I also have an exercise bike that I use fairly often. I can't wait until the snow is gone to get outside for walks and biking.

If you like to be social, find a friend to work out with. Good luck!

I really enjoy home step aerobics with Cathe Friedrich, which are mostly advanced workouts. You can preview the workouts at Cathe.com to see if these would be fun for you.

I also like a muscle challenge and get that with the P90X program from beachbody.com. I'm just finishing my first 90 day rotation with this program and it has helped me lose 14 pounds so far and definitely changed my body to firm from flab! This is also a very advanced program.

Good luck in your search for workouts. Hope this helps!!
