Nevermind, I found it -- It's called Carbs (for low-carb diets)I added it to my tracker and it subtracts the fiber from my carbs for a net carb. Just like you said! Cool! This will be much more helpful to me. I hate doing the subtracting in my head as I'm scanning the chart.

Hi Josh,

How do you add "Net Carb"? I just looked on my nutrient tracker and couldn't find "Net Carb" to add. They have carb and fiber but not "Net Carb". I have fiber added to my food tracker and minus that from my carbs at the end of the day. Is that what you were talking about or is there a way for the food tracker to do the deduction for me?

Hi Sue, I am on the south beach diet and I thought Phase I was grueling. Phase II isn't bad though. I have been off it a six weeks now and I haven't gained anything. I wanted a diet that I could control my hunger and stop the cravings and it certainly does that. You know you can go to the south beach Website and they will send you free newsletters every week.

That's Great! i'm on south beach too, and i'm definately a carb addict. I would like to see a recipe forum started strictly for low carb recipes and cooking tips to share.

Hi!

You can add the nutrient "Net Carbs" to track the net carbs in the food you eat (just carbs - fiber). I hope that helps!

COUNT ME IN TOO! I was on a low carb diet many moons ago from a doctor I went to and lost over 60lbs and kept it off for over 5 years. I felt good, had lots of energy etc. Then I quit smoking and was working really long hours (too tired to cook) and the weight gradually went back on. That was the only diet I was ever able to lose any significant amount with and keep it off for so long.
I just joined yesterday and was adjusting the Carbs/Protein grams when signing up, but haven't had time to see if it worked or not yet.
Please let me know if they change this or have a separate message board for us!

Hi all, I too would like to see low-carb counts on the nutrition tracker.

I was on the south beach Diet and I still use the principles of the diet as I only have one small serving of complex carbs a day. I don't recommend it for everyone but, it's the only diet that I can lose weight on and it helps to lose your gut first and I like that.

I don't now how you do it (lose weight) on hi-pro lo-carb I tryed it once and GAINED 5 lbs the first week and was so sick of meat... but good luck anyway...

I am a low carber too. I seem to do best on that program - count me in for a low carbs. I would like to see a a low carb menu on this site - I think it would help.

Count me in for High Protein/Low carb too!! That is how I lost my first 10 and I have 17 to go!! I'm starting back to strict dieting tomorrow (I always like to start on a Monday.) Any suggestions as to how to keep my energy up throughout the day?

When I first joined I though SP was more involved with low carb diets. I would like to see all lc dieters have a place to communicate and share ideas.

I HAVE BEEN DOING LOW carb AND I HAVE ADJUSTED THE NUTRITION STUFF TO FIT MY NEEDS. FOR INSTANCE IN THE CARBS BLOCK I PUT IN BETWEEN 40 AND 80 CARBS PER DAY. IT MEANS YOU ALSO HAVE TO REDO THE protein AND fats BOXES ALSO. ITS POSSIBLE BUT, IT DOESN'T DO IT FOR YOU, YOU HAVE TO FIGURE IT OUT.

I'm new to this site and trying to utilize the menu plan option for suggestions on menus. However, it seems to ignore my request for a low carb target. Has anybody else been able to use this feature for low carb eating?

Can you all create a High Protein/Low carb Forum. I would love to be able to come here more and be able to chat with others under this plan instead of going to other websites. Just a suggestion. I hope you do. This way of eating works for me and makes me feel good.
