not "new", but better. I want to be closer to God in my daily life, a better wife and mother, and more accepting of the body God gave me.
As for the friend issue, my .02 ... Friends are very important as a young women, even more so as you get older. My deep friendships are rarer now. Maybe she did you a favor. Look at yourself and learn what you can from this but don't let it get to you, it might not really be about you! Being a really good friend is a learned skill and takes practice.

| My resolution is to NOT make a resolution. Those can end up disappointing if not met. I have a few hopes, a few plans, and a few goals instead. The hope is that a few relationships will grow in healthier directions, a plan is a vacation I'm taking with a friend or friends, and one of the goals is to get back down to 120 lbs (haven't been THERE in a while). Good luck everyone on your resolutions!! Work it - you're worth it!!

HI--
I've been thinking about this message and how to respond to you without sounding like the much older person that I am.
Please think about whether your "friend" is right about you. It may be that you have been mean or selfish around this person, but it also may be that she is unhappy and blaming it on you. If there is room in yourself for change and improvement, then go ahead and work on it, but don't let other people define you.
I like the idea of making deliberate attempts to be nice, and I'd love to hear how that is going. I've heard that just saying thank you, or giving other people credit for the things they do gives you--and the others--a great feeling.
Hope that didn't sound too fuddy-duddy!
Not terrible to be a little selfish--I am trying to make time for myself so when I am with others that I am ready and happy to be with them.
Have a great week . . .
Rebecca

| I just lost one of my "friends" because she said I was "self-centered" so I'm trying to do at least 3 nice things for somebody each day (I usually do that anyways, I dont know what that girl was talking about). I'm trying to tone my body. And I'm just trying to have a better outlook on life. Oh, and better grades.

1. My resolution for the year is to get back in control. I organized my closets, categorized clothes into wearable, almost in reach (10s), and a little further away (8s). I'd love to get into those 8s, but I'd take the 10s. Getting ready to start up on January 1. Let this be the year we focus.
2. I want a new job!!! Working on that, too.
So, my visualization is the new me in a new office. Not bad!
And you?
Happy New Year!
